    its not FMA 2...

unlike the original series, this new one will stay loyal to the mangas plot line, its *not* a continuation of the original FMA serise.

Sweet. I haven't seen the movies because I was never able to find one that was in Japanese. I refuse to watch those cheesy dubbed English version.

japanese anime have japanese names, which seem 'interpreted' into a english version

    FMA:
    in japanese; 鋼の錬金術師
    in romanji: Hagane no Renkinjutsushi
    direct translation: Alchemist of Steel
    english name: Fullmetal Alchemist

I never said it was a continuation of anything, but that doesn't mean it's not FMA 2.
So it's not FMA 2 because it doesn't continue from where the first one ended ? Weird logic you got.

What would you call it then ? :p

FMA can't continue, it clearly ended as soon as VIZ bought it. =P

I'm pumped. I freaking love this show (see: scar tattoo). The cool thing is that up to this point I haven't been able to get my wife to watch a fansub of any of the cooler non-dubbed animes out there. But FMA is our thing and she got an Ouboros tatto herself, so she'll definitely watch it.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adored FMA when it came out, but when it got on TV I could listen to about 10 seconds until I got a stabbing urge to kill the power.
Fansub is good though, you're a lucky man to have a woman like that huh Tribat? =]

lol yea im the same way as lev when it comes to dubbing a perfect example Air Gear - amazing anime in japanese, just amazing show all around. Then i heard it in english...and omg i almost died go listen to agito on there as well as the orgional owner of the flame regalia

for some reason when its dubbed its like they have to get a variety of people with accents to do the show, why is this group of people who grew up together have accents from all around the world?

sorry if i misspelled something in the middle of class

Best example of horrible dubbing is neon genesis, when you cast someone for a 13 year old role that doesn't mean you actually cast someone who's voice is cracking ffs.

Honestly I like the dubbed DB original WAY better than the original, I've never watched DBZ in japanese because from my experience, every japanese yelling voice tends to sound like link from orcarina of time and I don't really feel like listening to 4 episodes of yelling at a time let alone it being 4 episodes of link yelling.

Never!!!! Anything in Japanese sounds so much cooler than the English language. Everything sounds so gangsta.for example.

I love Soul Eater :D Black Star is the man.

now that show is starting to worry me, they are diverging from the manga in recent eps, and are beginning to conclude the serise, or so it seems....

which sucks.... Kim is my favourite... but her whole little arc has been skipped... you only get to see her for like 30 secs in the anime
