As for legal issues, unless someone comes to this thread and actually declares to have legal experience all you are going to hear is the same response over and over, read the previous posts and you'll see a trend.
If they actually start hounding your ass go ask your lawyer, otherwise the only proclaimed legal experience on these forums is Li and she's not been on for like 2 months.

On a side note... you could argue that they are wasting your time, and as we all know; time is money. In which case they would be stealing money from you. xD

They know they can't BS past you, so they are increasing the threats without giving any information that would help you sue them. However they will need to provide that information to sue you, so I think this is the last you will hear from them.

Have you talked to your credit card company or Paypal yet ?

Depends on where you are. In some places it won't count because they can't prove you agreed to it (no signature), it others it is valid.

They do have some fun clauses there:

I don't know if this is a legal clause. Probably not.

    Contradictions ?

I don't know if clauses like this have ever held up in court. Given that if they do, it would mean that I can replace one of those entities with US Government and thus block law enforcement, I doubt it.

But if it does hold, forget about getting anything out of them.

But they do give an address where you can serve papers on them if you sue them.

So tell them to file suit or shut up. Also tell them that you are setting your spam filter to automatically delete any further email you receive from them. Also tell them that you will not answer any more of their phone calls. Follow through with this. This will force them to send any further communications by post, which can also open them up to charges of mail fraud.

It's worse than that. Lawyers can get in trouble if they give you bad advise and you decide to sue them over it, even if the bad advise was because the lawyers had incorrect information. So lawyers will not reply on an internet forum, and anyone who claims to be a lawyer while giving advise is either lying or a bad lawyer.

Ed are you disclosing legal advice on a professional level? Is it can be sue tiem nao?

Just because someone said they went to school to become a lawyer does not mean they have to back personal advice up with professional credentials. Li has a large amount of legal knowledge whether she says it's because of her profession or simply dealings in the past (albeit same thing).

Regardless, it's a pointless argument seeing as none of us can actually back it up the workings of this situation with professional advice.

    Thread done imo.

Only if I were a lawyer. But since I'm not, and I said so in my first post, I have nothing to worry about.

    True.

Stop talking with them over the internet. Force them to use an offline method that you can record.

No. They know exactly what happened. They just know how to make you think they believe you to be guilty.

    They are lying to you.

Because I don't know which one would be better to contact.

Hexed, if this helps, imagine they are hungry bears and your actions are pieces of bacon. They want the bacon but you have it, so they are trying to take it from you and you keep giving it to them little bits at a time, bacon bits.
Stop feeding them bacon, it's your bacon, eat your god damned bacon.

Was infact a cell phone, got the voicemail "This is dave, ill call you back when I can, bye" It was definately a white guy. Lulz at this dude. What company did you sell it to? whats the website.

Your best bet, call blizzard and tell them, some company is threatening you and you haven't played on your account in months and you would like them to freeze the account.

I will call with my number blocked - lets try to schedule a time on Vent where you guys can hear everything.

Hex, send me all the information you sent him (other than any of your CC info). I will call saying something to the effect of "Hi, I am (made up name), I am calling in regards to your legal threats towards my client (your name)." Then go from there. It should be epic!

It would be best to not make any prank calls here, as they seem the kind of people who will complain about them. And if they find this thread as proof that we are linked to Hex, it might cause XoO a lot of trouble.

The last thing we need is another hack, agreed.
Better to just diffuse the situation.
