I like fighters but it just isn't impressing me. Give me Soulblade or Virtua Fighter anyday!

If by Soulblade you mean Soul Edge/Blade/Calibur, then yes that series is impressive, but still can't match the fast pace of 2D fighters. And the latest with the Star Wars shit is just stupid. If by Virtua Fighter you mean Virtual Fighter, then lawl. It stopped being good at 2.

I'm looking forward to Melty Blood more than BlazBlue though.

My only comment on the subject. Guilty Gear was until Izuka the best 2D fighter on the market. BlazBlue looks like more Guilty Gear, ergo, I shall own this game.

600? Dunno where you buy electronics. Sounds like Ripyouoff.com

600 bucks will make me another 500 Gig PS3

Anywho, Best 2d Fighters are Guilty Gear and Street Fighter 3rd Strike.

No 3d fighter, will ever match those... Show me one that can, ive played probably 90% of all 3d fighters, started mainly with Battle Arena Toshinden. :)

600 includes everything you get when buying a ps3. If you want a PS3 with 1 controller and no games, or buy a half-broken one be my guest.

Pretty sure no one needs a PS3...

I have never really been a fan of fighters. I do love 2D games though and wish they would make more of them. With the power of the systems now they could make them gorgeous. Some games just can't seem to make the transition to 3D.

Pretty much for me there needs to be one exclusive game that I really want to play per $100 the console costs. PS3 has about two for me right now.

$600 is scratch and a PS3 is nowhere near that.

From the last time this exact convo happened:
If each Controller is $60 that's an easy 180+tax if you have friends.

Then you have to consider how many games you have to buy to justify the initial pricing past your regular gaming box (computer) and the price adds up pretty quick.

    Looks unanimous that 2D fighters > 3D.

No one cares if you like the PS3 or not. If you can't afford one, take your gripes elsewhere. This thread is about fucking BlazBlue.

Thread renamed to prevent further confusion of the topic. Lev, if sales tax in Cali is that much, I recommend some lube and move to a better state, cause I wouldn't keep taking it in the ass like that without complaint. (This is not a comment on sexual orientation, more on the fact that that's disgusting sales tax)

    PS3 = 400 yes
    Extra Controller = 50-45
LBP = 60 or less, there's a bunch of sales around now on it, like amazon
Sales Tax... I'm sorry, that's just plain disgusting.

Yeah it's something like 7.5 + 2.5 + 5-8 and then added together. Heavily populated cities usually have a pretty high ST but it's usually about 9-11% total.
I quoted it from a discussion which involved Samakar, who was the subject of discussion (since he is living in cali at the musicians institute).

Umm... I refuse to buy one because the only incentive they give me to buy one is the blu ray dvd reader (which also means you HAVE to buy an HD TV for, which is pricy). It has top of the line graphics and such, and the graphics are identical to the 360 because they haven't been able to make games that can utilize them. They also have very few title games. Final Fantasy was one of the only games that was exclusive for PS that was bought, and now its going to be sold for the 360. Most of the other games that are exclusive for it are pretty much repeats of other games, or look like it should be sold for the Wii, which is a hell of a lot cheaper.

And dont even think about calling me a 360 fanboi. I have one and it hasn't been hooked up in a good.... 4 months. And the price... yeah. 360: $200 now. PS#: $400. Both have higher 'quality' systems for higher prices.

As a gaming community, I'm appalled that XoO spends so much time talking about systems rather than actual games.
