Yeah, I don't like the dimensions for the new sigs. They should be open again, but to a degree. We shouldn't have the huge sigs like some people have...There should be a limit, but 200 high is way too short.

On the contrary, 500x150 is the norm for most forums. I think no sig has reason to be any larger.

agreed, the physical dimensions of the sig pics aren't a problem (at least to me)... however, for some gifs the file size can be a bit restricting. Also, my gifs that have worked... seem to have stopped moving (avatar and sig atm) :(

look at your sig pdog ;) its a 200 pixel high graphic and another 200 or so pixels of text. I dont' have a problem with it really but sigs can grow to be pretty big...

My issue with huge sigs is you can post "Agreed!!!" and then I am scrolling though a post that is the same as if someone posted a few paragraphs ;)

But nothing is set in stone right now. I personally feel 200 is tall enough for graphics in sigs, but we can look at that again later if need be.

How large are the gifs your trying to install? Are you linking off site or uploading them?

Bandwidth concerns can start to be a problem if ever thread everyone has to load huge sig graphics, but as I said to pdog, nothing is set in stone at the moment. I upped the image size last night to like 110 kb graphics though.

I personally hate large sig pics and large animated sigs.

:) me too, I am just keeping this one up so people can see it's working ;)
I prefer small graphics and short text on sigs... I actually read those ones... the long ones I just skim past.

  11. Hmm for some reason though whenever I try to copy paste the bb code from xfire to get an xfire pic that links to my profile all I see in my sig is the same link like Vanguard has.
Regardless though it is nice to have a forum again :)

I know certain members had HTML allowed in their sigs. Will those who had it before be getting that right back?

  16. Hmm it's working now. I'll go ahead and thank Jeb just in case :)

I turned on the bbcode for sigs which may have fixed it BW...
