Hello fellow XoO members, Arcanmene here with some fantastic news. Depending on popularity of course, I want to open a new division dedicated to table top games, i.e., Dungeons and Dragons, old school final fantasy, or any other classic tabletop or rudimentary SNES games. Blazze Valkurm has shown interest in organizing and/or being CO of this (maybe) new division. Any potential members should contact Blazze Valkurm or myself. The program that will be used is roll 20: https://app.roll20.net/home See you in-game Arcanmene
What program will you use to play? I might be interested in D&D and others depending on the time slots.
This sounds awesome! I've been on Roll20 for some time, but haven't found many people in my time zone, which sucks. :<
What time zone is that? As of now, once we have some player that want to join "my" party, we can work out a time to do this. One of the best parts about tabletop games is that, you can run them at any time. I know of many party's that only get on once a month to do this. However I myself would like to run once a week.. or every other week. (if not more)
Well, central european. Which means I'm normally online around 12pm-6pm EST on weekdays, randomly on weekends.
Noodlab, I don't see any issues with the times you can play. I'm sure we can find a spot for you in a group. P.s. I would also like to see if anyone would like to run a party as a DM and help make the a great Division. The DM is the story tell, trap setter, and all around map maker. For anyone who would like to learn how to DM, come see me and we can get this set up. If you have no EXP in the Tabletop world but would like to give it a shot.. The new D&D: Next makes it really easy to learn and get starting. I look forward to working with everyone.
Let's see... I am interested in playing but also can run a bunch of different game systems as well... including: Shadowrun 5th/4th ed (I have more 5th ed books now) - Take Lord of the Rings and Cross it with Bladerunner Atomic Robo - SCIENCE WILL SOLVE EVERYTHING!!!! Iron Kingdoms - Take Dungeons and Dragons, now add steampunk robots! The Laundry (call of Cthulhu meets office space meets james bond) -KM
I'm interested, never played any pnp games I could barley get my friends to play some sports games once in a while don't have any of the books though and no real intention of buying any either so if they are needed I can't. What did you have in mind for the final fantasy games? or is there a board games version of them I never heard of?
No, for the game I will be running, it will not cost anything. It's still in "playtest" atm (tabletop game beta). However, I am not to sure about some of the ones that KM is talking about.
I have some info I can send to you, and I will be to run an instance with you to get some EXP and training.
Thinking about this weekend, gathering up everyone with interest and going over just some of the things we can do. Please let me know if Sat/Sun will be best and what time. Also, bring something to take notes if you want to be a DM as we will have a few more things to go over.
I think there's an ArcheAge division meeting on Sunday at 4pm EST, but I think Saturday is mostly clear for my sake.
What will you being using to create characters? I've only dabbled in PnP, but that was always the most intimidating part.
