I was looking this videos all morning That last part owns... he is a real game fan Here is the slidshow: http://imgur.com/a/4UGiM#0
I loved the hiding of the hornet behind space debris. Vindicates me in my projected tactics of using bigger ships (constellations, retaliators, ...) as hide and protection to run from missiles with my 350r.
Best part IMO was the actual pitch up/down restriction from the G-forces instead of the crazy shit they were doing in the PAX demo haha.. and then secondly the flares demo was really important and was really happy with what they did basically making missiles high damage/late encounter for the final KO but not useful as an initial opener other than to scare your opponnent/make them evade. The amount of balancing and detail they have already put into the game like is 0_0. They are really trying to come out with almost a full game for the first module XD. Also I think I've been so biased because of the PS2 just adding in AA DPS buffs with no actual way to evade anymore that I was initially really annoyed with the missile use (2 to kill) in the DFM demo but from this it looks like there will be a lot of options (flight skill, flares, objects) to evade them. Also "SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKA" youtu.be/VE3WxpO4jW0?t=25m55s
I have to say, I've been following Star Citizen since November, and this video is the first one to get me excited for DFM. Got chills and everything
Dag you have to believe! i spend a huge amount of money in this game, before to see anything. And for me U$1 = R$2,50, the best part?! my wife doenst know ráaaááaáááá! When i read the creator of Starlancer, Freelancer and Wing Commander are doing something for games, i confess i have that "meh" feeling hehehe... but when i saw what he wanted to do, and the team behind.... plus Chris Roberts reputation, i start to buy ships, when the new website release i got real excited... Nothing compares to see the freaking hangar, was something like "hooooooly shit" feeling heheeh... and when i got my eyes in that hornet flying, i only think when i was playing freelancer for the 10x time, trying to do something new there but cant, now can! Will be really amazing, something really new for a gamer perspective! and this happen to myself only a few times... like when i played quake for the first time, when i play a 12x12 for the first time and when i got a massive one for the first time.
haha last thanksgiving I was talking to my brother about the game and we were discussing what ships we have and he almost went into the costs of the ships with my wife sitting right there. Thankfully we knows my "shut the fuck up" face changed the topic before it hit dollar signs.
Just for kicks, given what I have spent on ships (personal + Idris), I need to play this game for 3 years in order to break even This doesn't factor in the ships variants that will warp our will before game gets released of course. Tactical Starfarer, I'm looking at you ...
That was short but looked good. I'm waiting for the completion of the next starship to see if i'll possibly buy another ship or not. They are doing an absolute great work with the ships (especially the one by the 4 horsement) and i couldn't see all of em. I believe the next episode will bring more rendering of the inside / outside of the ships, along with the physics that go with it. As CR said, people will probably want more than 1 of those ships to make it into the game. Hell, i'm sure at least 5 should do ! That 4 horsemen one would blow away any hornet : looks better and gots 2 turrets (top & bottom). For now, it'll be the 300i tho.
that sokar stfu face ... i just showed my one buddy the video and he was like the game looks like garbage why would they show so many bugs and such ... he doesn't understand its pre alpha and such and was like well Blizzard would never show any of this ... some people just don't understand
Blizzard also has some of the worst customers/fans, and they try to avoid full frontal contact with their customers if possible. Just look how Blizzard is handling WoD, they barely trickle information out, and act oblivious to customer feedback.
If that video has kept at least 1 wow player from playing star citizen then it has done its job 1000x over. I'd rather not have the "WoW was my first mmo" playbase in any mmo that I actually want to play.
