All of those are giving me "This video is currently unavailable". :/
I wonder if Youtube is being weird.

    Also, you forgot Doom! \:D/

I've played that game insanely much on in multiplayer back in the days.
So yep, getting old, but definitely not bothered about experiencing the glorious 90's :p

    tribes starsiege

I was (UCB) Bongboy, ranked 6th in the world on the official tribes ranking page

the guild I formed "Upright citizens brigade" (UCB) was ranked 22nd in the world.

To join my guild you had to use a name based on the comedy show Upright Citizens Brigade..some joined xoo with me way back in the PS1 days and played SWG with us.
Poo-stick and Supercool were a couple of my guild that joined xoo with me.

    best fps ever

think my first multiplayer FPS was Doom on two playstations using a link cable. I bought a second playstation and second tv just to play doom with my buds.

think we did twisted metal and a james bond game too via link cable.

world war 2 online..where battles for a single city rage for days..there are hundreds of citys.
The full campaign can take months for one side to win.

maybe still the best combined arms game..dated graphics..awesome gameplay.

I was the first to make the rank of general.(took two years of play)

When I killed my 50,000th axis tank..second place had less than 35 thousand kills on a tank. My infantry kills were off the charts.

not so hot in a plane...its realistic flight mode and real air force pilots played the game. I stuck to bombers and hit citys from 35k feet.

Gameplay takes place in a single game world, which is a 1/2 scale map of Western Europe. It is the largest MMOG game world map, at over 350,000 km2 (135,136 sq mi)

I once set my guy auto walking and ,let him go for 4 days without stopping.
The time it would take you to walk from berlin to france..it takes half that time in ww2ol.
So even flying to a battle can take some time and co-ord with the guys on the ground and the ships at sea can be crucial.

loved the massive para drops with a few hundred players dropping on one of the hundreds of towns....planes trying to kill the transport plane..trying to shoot you while your dropping..guys shooting up at you with rifles and heavy MG and anti anti aircraft guns..you hope you live long enough to reach the ground. My heart beats faster thinking about it.

    tanks were my fav

This is where I honed my FPS skills, and picked up the name Friendlyfire.

Quake Team Fortress was the shit. Also I know it isn't exactly an FPS but my nostalgia will always be from:

    Nobody mentions counterstrike, really ??

I mean ok, Doom, Wolfenstein, Doom 2, Quake, UT, Unreal 1 & 2, fine.

    but CS was real pro.

Hell i was in top 50 euro players. Damn ACE.

However, old fps is one thing i don't miss at all. It's probably the only type of games that i find beneficied from new tech. I would never go back to old blocks and shit, get helluva headache and nausea, things u don't get anymore from new games.

So, while i played everything (fell asleep playing WW2 for the first time), i enjoyed BF2 the most, with the mod where people actually played as part of an army (MEC, US, China) for all maps and we had tournaments between the whole armies (all maps were modded to accept all armies on it). I think it was BF2 combat.

    U guys also forgot Rainbow 6 :p

I hated CSS so much that I only played 2 hours and never looked back, carried on with CoD1 in EU ladders before hooking up with the UK#1 rifle only clan :)

    Project Reality?

What was wrong with CSS? No ADS?

Frankly, I enjoyed CS1.6 and CSS on war3ft modded servers. It added a whole new level of fun to an otherwise rather average shooter.

The first FPS games I've ever played were Doom 2, Quake 2, Dukem Nukem 3D and Serious Sam The First Encounter (which was also the first game that I ever played online). Not as old as some of the other games listed in this thread, but old enough for me to feel a certain amount of nostalgia.

    This.

CS was so boring. COD1 RO was the skills. CS is spray your gun against a wall until you find the fire pattern then corner jump and prefire everything lol.
