Anyone who has said something like "the game won't change much between beta and launch" are free to eat their words now.
I don't think they have to eat their words. It would be a fair guess given the history of MMOs development process. Just look at SWTOR, which appeared nearly identical from like 6 months before launch to 2 months after. They didn't even bother fixing the obvious bugs, let alone change how something worked.
"eating your words" is an idiom where one accepts they were wrong. The reasons they had for being wrong are actually irrelevant.
Hopefully they have another one or two weekend long beta's for the masses so people will see these changes.
My favorite change is NPC collision followed by quicker leveling in beginning. That means we can get to PvP faster
This will be a pretty odd change if skipping a zone or two allows for faster leveling. I can see how it could if the quests that were at 7-10 are now designed to get you 3-10, like if there is no additional content thrown in to drag it out. I guess we'll have to wait for someone on the PTS to spill the beans since we won't get that patch in our weekend test. So many youtube videos about this but nobody really breaking down the level range changes that I can see, if the starter islands were changed any in level ranges, etc.
All of these changes wont be in the test this weekend, according to this reddit thread. http://www.reddit.com/r/elderscroll...psa_this_beta_is_not_the_same_version_as_pts/
