You can definitely get a bomb ass PC for that much :D Ill throw something together and see if anyone has any critique's to it.

    Corsair Carbide 200R tower
Has a bottom mounted PSU for better stability and airflow. The drive bays are separated and have a perfect space for extra long GPUs to fit in the tower. It supports dual 120mm radiator up top if you upgrade to a high end AIO cooler or full water cooling. It looks sexy and is cheapish

    SeaSonic SSR-650RM
Is made incredibly well and is also very energy efficient. This will perform for years and years to come. It is 650 watt, which is enough for overclocking the CPU and GPUs a bit if you want

    ASUS Z87-PRO (V EDITION)
This is a quality motherboard with high ratings. I like ASUS boards the best because they have the best bios development and are quality made (usually). This one has all the good features and is still a little on the cheap side.

    Intel i5-4670K
This is Intel's best consumer processor for gaming. Hyper-threading is not always good to have for gaming and the performance difference is not even close to the cost difference. K edition for easier overclocking

    Enermax ETS-T40-TB
This is very similar to the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO that is known as the best cheap cooler, however the price has gone up $10 on that and so this one is now cheaper and just as good. I own 2 of these myself and can get very good overclocks with them. One of them is pushing an FX-8320 to 4.8GHz

    G.SKILL Ares Series 16GB DDR2133 RAM
High speed, good timings, high density. Well rated and from a highly respected brand. Quality RAM here.

GIGABYTE GV-N760OC-4GD GTX760 (two of these for SLI)
These are very solid GPUs that keep up with just about anything with even just 1 card. I picked out 2 because you can afford it and it will be enough graphics power for the entire life of the computer no matter what you throw at it. Two of these can easily out perform a GTX Titan. These ones I picked out are special versions, they have 4GB of vram to keep you going for years to come and they have nice, custom high end coolers from a well respected company.

SAMSUNG 840 EVO 120GB (two of these)
These are some of the best solid state drives on the market. I have personally used almost 20 SSDs now and Samsung has always been the very best in reliability and performance for their generation ever since the very first SSDs were invented. Two drives so 1 can be used for the OS and programs, and 1 dedicated to gaming.

    Western Digital WD10EZEX 1TB
A 1TB hard drive for your mass storage needs. Other random games can go here or just all your pictures, videos, etc.

    LG Internal 24X DVD drive
Nothing special here. All DVD drives are about the same these days and this one of the cheapest on Newegg right now.

    Total: $1,593.88
You can throw on Windows (7 or 8.1) for another $125 or so on top if you need it. There you have it, an under budget totally kick ass gaming PC with nothing but high end parts. It also comes with two copies of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag for free. You can sell one to save even more money.

Hyper threading can sometimes hurt gaming performance, it is also hardly used at all in games. Though for video encoding it is very good to have, but not worth the price difference for anything else. But it is your money, if you want to spend the extra and get it then go right ahead :D

How 'bout you buy yourself a $1000 computer, and then buy me a GTX 780ti? :D

Also, that motherboard is sweet. It has a dedicated BIOS button. I'd get it for that feature alone.
Fuck me if I don't hate that I still need a god damn PS/2 keyboard lying around to access mine.

Enigma pretty much summarized it all.

I'd go for a samsung EVO 500gb when they on sale (from time to time) tho, as u can get one for around 300$ which is quite incredible. I'm mad my command got fubared last time on newegg.

Bout the GFX wouldn't it be better to wait for the 8 series or the big rebate that'll go along their release pretty soon (April ?) ? Could get a 780 TI for the price of those 2 760 and could upgrade later to another 780 TI if the need's felt.

A BIG question tho Tommit : What screen do u use and what is its resolution ?

The GTX 8 series wont release in April. Nvidia has said the 2nd half of 2014 will be their launch. With the news from TSMC (where Nvidia gets their wafers) I would expect something closer to August timeframe. Too long to wait IMO.

Single GTX 780 Ti is also $120 more than two GTX 760 4GB's, and the 760's are usually faster.

Although the 760s might be better pure performance when it's all working I'd rather have a single 780 for the lower noise/power and higher compatibility.

But that's more of a personal preference thing.

I totally agree about the i5 vs i7. Unless you've got non-gaming stuff that'll use the hyperthreading it's not worth it at all.

K then if u play only one one PC u could consider having a 1440p monitor (it's within ur price range) as it really makes a huge diff. The Catleap like Enigma or the Qnix like i got are awesome screens. With one 780 (ghz) i'm at my cap of 49 fps (for 96hz screen) with a 780 TI u can probably hit 60 fps (but u need 120hz screen so only the catleap 2B which is more pricey than my QNIX) u could hit the cap with 2x760s too.

Cant find a review with dual GTX760's and a 780Ti. The 780Ti is a couple FPS above the Titan though so you can easily estimate its performance by just adding +2 to whatever the Titan got.

Should probably be noted that the 760s in that comparison are overclocked, even if only factory OC.
I imagine with a decent OC of the 780ti, you'd get pretty equal performances overall.

Only 26MHz over stock. I dont think that can even be considered an OC.

Which BTW Tommit, those GTX760's I listed are 105MHz overclocked from the factory from the stock 760's. Dont know if anyone noticed that or if I should mention it or what.
The 780Ti should be a pretty good number when overclocked yourself, somewhere between 1100-1300. Same with the 760's.
