2013 Annual XoO Awards Every year we at XoO participate in a special event that every member in XoO can participate and receive special ribbons for various categories of excellence that will be voted on by you and the rest of the community. So roll out the red carpet and vote for your favorite members! The Dates Submission Date: December 1st - 22nd Calculations: December 24th -31st Results: January 1st How It Works The awards system is simple enough. There will be several categories to which people will be allowed to vote for a member of their choice. These categories can either be specific or global. A specific category is one that is limited to a particular division that only people who have played in that division for 2+ months can receive and only those who have played in that division for 2+ months can submit members for review. Global categories are for guild-wide awards that allow anyone who has been a XoO member for 2+ months to submit another member who has been with the guild for 2+ months for the award. I decided to go with 2+ months instead of 3 in light of all the new games and recruits we have so even some of the newer games can get in on the action. Submissions are simple. Simply list the members name you wish to be considered for the ribbon. Some categories will allow for multiple submissions where you may submit more than one member for consideration. You may not submit more members for consideration than the category will allow or all of your submissions will be negated. So if the category asks for 3 people, you may only list up to 3 people for consideration. This means you are allowed to only consider 1 or 2 people and will not be forced to make more selections than you are comfortable with. Naturally you may abstain from a category altogether and not submit anyone for consideration for any particular category. The categories will be announced on the 1st and you will be allowed to begin submission on that day. In order to submit you will need to reply to the thread that is posted on that day in the News/Announcements section. After submissions are sent and the winners selected the ribbons will automatically be handed out so there is no need to apply for any of the ribbons. Restrictions Only people who have registered join dates before 2013 and have played with the guild for 2+ months will be allowed to participate in both submission and as candidates for the awards. For division-specific awards you may only submit members for consideration if you have spent 2+ months in that division. This will be confirmed by either leadership for that division or the division tour of duty ribbon for that specific game. The person you are submitting must also have played that division-specific game for 2+ months as well. You cannot nominate yourself. Anyone who has had a warning in the past 4 months will also not be allowed for consideration and their votes will be negated. Examples Every category will have a main header for either global selections in which submissions are made for non-division specific awards or division specific awards where only members of that division may vote. I would like to say that EVERYONE who participates, that is, EVERYONE who submits other members for consideration for an award will be given a 2013 XoO Awards ribbon just for participating. Confusedddd... So only people registered in 2012 or before can take part? Despite the 2 month ruling? Also whats with the 3 month division thing when you already stated before that it was 2 months? _@:
This is for infractions, not PMs. Otherwise it would be impossible to track. But if you don't want to participate it is not compulsory.
Infractions, as in you received an infraction via the forum. For example, you will get a pm from an admin stating "you have received 2 infraction pointsdue to fighting on the forum" etc etc...
Yes, but what did he mean by PMs. There's a separate infraction/warning system for private messaging or what? And why did he point out that this is specifically for infractions, as if I was allowed to participate, when he specifically gave me an infraction during the past 2 (or was it 4, damn the date format) months?
If you received an infraction, you cannot be nominated or nominate someone ( i believe ). So... yeah that would include you then.
