I need some new blood for this game. Maybe you wanted to try out but didn't want to throw down 50 bucks to do so. Maybe you heard good things but money is tight right now. Or maybe you decided Warhammer is poop and WoW is a granny. Regardless of what your thinking I have 4 keys to bring in some new blood into the game. Please don't ask for one unless you really interested in playing the game for a week free and may continue in the future. I'm looking to bring in some focused and committed XoO members who could help me rebuild things for the a dying division. I haven't given up the fight and I won't even if I'm left playing alone. Looks like they are offering high level accounts to people that end up deciding they do enjoy playing AoC from your free keys to me...
Is transferring accounts even allowed under the AoC EULA ? I might take a look at AoC. How big is the client, and where can I download it ?
I fixed it your post for you. AoC is the best MMO out right now. Regardless of what many of you believe it bring the most innovation to the table and better visuals. It had a shoddy launch but funcom has fixed teh game and its running alot smoother and has more features too.
Since the AoC people don't seem willing to answer the question I asked, I did a bit of poking around. 1 - The music on the AoC website gets annoying after a while. 2 - It's a 15gb download for the client. Ouch. 3 - I haven't a way to start downloading it that doesn't require me to first pay Funcom. Do those keys allow me to download the client for free ? So interesting bits from the EULA: Why do they limit the number of times you can print the documentation ? Not that I expect to print it once. Does that mean no making backups, even though the backups will be useless without a valid account ? DRM in a pay to play MMO ? Very worrying. Looks like transferring accounts is against the EULA. Now this line is odd. Understandable, but odd. Sure the software may be useless without your account, but you must destroy it anyway. This next bit however does worry me, especially as it is the first time I've seen an EULA with something like it: If Funcom screws over enough people to make a class action lawsuit the best course of action, this bit means that they will have to stay separate. Thus increasing the costs for everyone, meaning they are more likely to give up and walk away. Apparently whoever wrote this thinks that Canada, Australia, Singapore and New Zealand are parts of the US. WTF ?
1 - Giving away accounts, like others here are proposing is against the EULA. 2 - There are other terms in there that really worry me enough to stay away from AoC, unless you can show that the EULA is unenforceable.
DAOC you could re-assign your account once. I wouldn't mind checking out the game I have a free week coming up.
Then what was with BuzzBuzzYolk's post saying there were no legal issues of interest ? I'd say getting an account, only to have it later banned because it was given to you as something people would care about.

there is a way to DL the game without buying it, a friend of mine in WoW got the game and sent me a link to the sight to download it then game me his account info, ill see if i can get the link from him again but doubt it. I got this when the game first came out spent like 3 days downloading it then ended up playing the for like 3 min with the settings all the way down and still i couldnt move lol go go awesome computer
