There were only a handful of us playing this when it originally launched. Good to see Square Soft stuck to their guns and are dedicated to making the game better. Just got my beta key, now I need to remember my login info so I can check out my old char.
Just applied to the XIV group. Any preference as to which server we are playing on for the rest of Phase 3? My wife and I made some characters on Ultros just to mess around. Supposedly next weekend is when our Legacy characters will be imported for bug testing.
We have a forums already you can get some details there. Supposedly we will get our mains back but that also may not happen. From what I heard we will also keep our Beta characters next week. Our division is currently in Adamantoise. We have decided to stay playing our "beta characters" so that we can stay/play with the new game (XoO) members. I noticed it is on GMG for pretty cheap right now. 25% off. Reg & DCE edit: oh doi, there is already a section for the game with a thread about the sale lol Guess it has been on sale for a while I am considering joining in. Some things give me pause though: From the videos so far, the combat seems the weakest thing I've seen about this game so far.
The gcd is 2.5 seconds which can be reduced through gear and certain classes(monk). It is slow paced compared to WoW and other tab targetting games. It is more about thinking and selecting than twitch, think a middle ground between eve and wow.
I prefer the non-twitch component, hell I was having a hard time keeping up with WoW's pace, and I was breaking mice just trying to keep up with the damn clicking. -KM
My char was on an Euro sever, but i can't say that i played much anwyays. I was halfway in crafting armor i think. I'll try to hop in whenever i find time besides PS2 I don't know if they allow char transfers across countries. I need to find my account again first tho.
What EU server? All 1.0 servers were based in Japan. There were a few server mergers, so you need to find out what server you ended up on. Also we will be moving to a NA/EU server named Sargatanas. The server transfer applications will be put up in a couple of week and for a limited time Server Xfers will be free. So stay tuned and be ready for the switch.
