Well so your statement is flawed since I dont drink Monster nor really eat pizza and if I do its no where near my house and last I dont have man boobs as you can clearly see from my pics
It looks like it could be amazing, but currently needs more development and substance. Sounds like an MMO in beta.
I've been in for about a week now and I am having fun with it. I'm getting coordinated with the local enlightened faction and having a blast. The game its self is ok but the mind games it plays on you and your opponents is a lot of fun. Getting teams together to take out enemy portal farms and setting up your own and defending them is a lot of fun. This game is more about the social aspect and actually getting myself out of the house and some exercise is another plus. Walking around the city playing a game for a few hours is a lot more entertaining than going to the gym.
I got the invite a while ago but never bothered. Installed it today, going go try it out while walking to work. Edit: So far I absolutely hate it. It doesn't update the gps whatsoever. Inaccurate as fuck atm. I walk and it updates to where I was 20 blocks ago. Then when I get to work it puts me in the ocean and gets confused. It was even worse when I got a ride back home from work.
Are you sure your phone is ok? I have meet a lot of other players now any I haven't heard of that problem.
Yeah, my gps was wonky as shit. I fixed it now. More or less. It's still iffy at times but nowhere near as bad. I haven't done a damn thing with the game though. Running around Brooklyn to get to portals isn't my idea of fun.
Responding to the OP alone, didn't bother going through the thread. Judging by that trailer, it's a less interesting version of TSW in the most unlikely best case scenario. Nothing a major corporation puts out is going to be creative enough to be worth a second glance. Sad. For a second there, i dared to hope Ingress was a reference to http://lparchive.org/Planescape-Torment/Update%2013/8-PST009-07.JPG Most likely scenario? That thing you linked is not an MMO. It is an advertising platform. You will be given quests to combat the filth contamination at location XYZ which will turn out to be your local Starbucks or Wal-Mart. Proof of purchase levels you up. edit: yes, i know about Numenera, it's probably why my mind jumped to Torment
