I'm biased. I only saw Dark Knight so far and I thought it was pretty good. I'm waiting for Iron Man to come in from Netflix. I look forward to it. At that time I will have a more solid decision. In Short, Dark Knight FTW. Why so serious?
I won't lie, as far as the film itself goes, the portrayal of the Joker's character was done to an almost haunting degree. This post is more of a silly thing than an actual film critique though, at least in origin.
the dark knigth was way beter,.. yes iorn man was a kick ass movie but the dark knight has a more thrilling plot,.. actors where beter in the dark knight (not saying iorn mans actors were bad) ,... also batman would kick iorn mans ass any day
Am I the only one who thought both films were very good, but both also very overrated? But between batman and iron man (the heroes), batman always wins.
as far as movies go i havnt seen the dark knight but iron man was off the charts it was so good, i do like that the batman movies are more darker tone thats cool but i hate the guy playing batman. his batman voice is soooo bad as far as superheros go, iron man wins, look at him he has a suit of armor that can fly faster than sound shoot rockets talks to him its just so much better than batmans suit that can glide
Batman by a large margin. Iron Man felt less like a movie and more like a tech demo of what Marvel has planned.
It a hard basis for comparison as TDK was the continuation of the story while Iron Man had to tread the typical origin story ground. Comparing the directors I like Nolan's style slightly more. This is no slight to Favreau who is a badass (see Swingers). I like Bale as Batman, except for the growling Batman voice. You can see the reason behind him being Batman. The one thing that the Marvel films currently have going for them is that you can see the threads starting to come together. For example you have Capt. America's shield in Tony Starks workshop, Stark weapons in The Hulk, etc... When they eventually push out the next 3-4 years worth of films it's going to be incredible.
Its a battle of the super fit geeks. Both movies were great, but Batty had one more movie compared to Tinny (aka Iron Man). In a battle between the 2 neither would win nor lose, because they are both the 'good' guy. Ratings wise? I don't know, the only movie critic that I listen too is myself. After I've seen the movie.
I enjoyed both movies. I saw The Dark Knight twice - 2nd time was not as good as the first. Ironman, my favorite hero, that was a great movie which I had to buy and watch multiple times. They set up the sequel to be fucking amazing.
I'd have to go with batman if for nothing else because they made nick fury samuel L. jackson...which WILL fuck up future movies. Overall Batman has better acting. Iron Man is more family oriented. I am waiting for The Hulk sequel too.
You do know that in the comics Nick Fury's appearance was based off of Samuel L. Jackson. As long as we don't get any crazy "i got eaten by a shark" lines, it'll be fine. I just read reports that Terence Howard will not be returning as Rhodes who will now be played by Don Cheadle which was disappointing to hear. Terence Howard in "Hustle N Flow" = badmotherf#cker.
I think Iron Man would beat Batman in a strait up fight. It would never happen but still. Movie wise I think TDK edges out Ironman because of HL. He played the Joker the way the Joker was meant to be played and that made this a really special movie. Ironman was great but the Joker in TDK was frigging awesome.
Batman is a broody emo boy..sulking around..taking it out on badguys. Ironman is a party animal who gets his ya-ya's out bashing badguys. I'd hangout with Ironman.. bet batgirl sneaks out the cave to hang with ironman. When she is not doing the hulk.
