When I first heard about ESO, I was all "oh god, they're going to ruin one of my favourite game series of all time with yet another failing MMO", but lately I've shamefully hopped on the hype-train, and am getting really excited about it. EQ:Next is exciting too. I really liked both EQ and EQII, and have played both a lot, back in the days. I'm curious to see what they have in store with the new one. Neverwinter. Well, I just want to see what it'll be like with the playermade content and such. It has potential to make a truly great game, because there will always be new, exciting content out for one to try out. But it's also VERY risky, and is very prone to disaster. Not listed: For "small" crowdfunded games, I'm extremely excited about Project Eternity, Star Citizen and Wasteland 2. I've pledged to each of them, and am so curious as to how they turn out -- Especially Project Eternity. I've been wanting, CRAVING, a Baldur's Gate-esque RPG. I hope that with a ~3 million dollar budget, they'll be able to make one hell of an RPG. For larger games, I'm SO hyped for Dark Souls 2. The first one was simply amazing, and I NEED MOAR! Also, DayZ Standalone! <3
That's my take on it too. Interesting sounding idea, but so far I don't like what I see. So, if something good comes out of it I'll be pleasantly surprised.
I cannot express my excitement for the DayZ standalone. That should really be an option in the polls.
I hope to "get into" Archeage or Elder Scrolls. Will try Blade and Soul and PSO2 Tried firefall beta and it grossly underwhelmed me...
Star Citizen looks very promising. Hopefully it can deliver on all of its promises at launch, although I suspect launch will be 2+ years away since it just started getting under development People looking for an MMO now to play should try out TOR again. The game got finished up with the 1.2 patch and has proper content now. Performance doesnt tank with more than 50 people in a room either (which was the big stopper for PvP). And its free to play.
Tried PSO2, got bored of it after two days. There's a way to play the japanese beta of it, which is what I did.
Enjoying TERA till ArcheAge out. Also pishhhhh B&S I have a feeling it will get the same treatment as AION got
I started a character on the new PvP server of Tera (Lake of tears??) it's pretty fun but will probably spend more time on planetside 2 with the occasional tera.
