Disney feels the Force, more Star Wars films to come

I can't see this as being worse than some of the crap that exists in the Star Wars EU.

  2. Exactly

  3. I just hope they stick to the books rather than go an entirely different direction. Might make things awkward.

  10. What does the EU (European Union) have to do with this?

EU as in expanded universe. Basically, all the Star Wars stuff that isn't the 6 movies.

  12. Ya you know, all the little minor stuff that happened afterward. Things like Han and Leia get married and have 3 kids. Luke and Mara get married and have Ben Skywalker. The Thrawn trilogy, the entire Yuuzhan Vong invasion (which Lucas personally signed off on the story), Jacen Solo becoming a lord of the sith and trying to take over the galaxy. Just minor things that should definitely be overwritten.

Really it doesnt matter that much to insert some new stuff in the early on like after the movies, where the X-Wing series normally takes place. But I would be kinda pissed if Disney removed the whole Yuuzhan Vong series that George Lucas personally signed off on the story for. But if they keep that, then it also means Disney must keep the storyline of Luke/Mara and Han/Leia. And if they keep those, they also need to keep the Legacy of The Force series with Jacen Solo. All that would turn into a big mess if they only keep some parts but remove others, so really it comes down to keeping everything or re-doing it all.
