I'm currently using the Logitech g110, got it from a friend. Was ok at first now I'm just sick of it.
So I'm wanting a new one, I prefer a Razer non-mechanical, but before I commit to those prices, I would like to hear some options.

I love my Lycosa keyboard. Had it for 2-3 years now I think. Probably about time for it to die on me since most Razer products I have had die between 2-3 years of daily use.

I have a corsair k90 and very much like the keyboard. I did have to return it 4 times to bestbuy before i got one with all the backlights working. Were I to buy another now it would probably be the Filco Majestouch 2 Ninja. Not sure waht switches I would go with this time though, maybe blues.

If you are considering mechanicals, Filco majestouch is a very nice piece of tech. No frills, but it works perfectly and feels great

Yeah.. I bought one. Love it.. nice and heavy doesn't move around on me. Thought I wouldn't like a mechanical but this one actually is no where near as loud as some I've heard. Very clean, sleek, and smooth. haha thank you guys.

Without question or hesitation, I would recommend my Das Keyboard to anyone. I use one on every computer I use regularly... including at the office. Cherry browns, of course. But, you said non mechanical. So, razor ftw. Lycosa has nice frills.

I know you said no mechanical, but my first question would be why? What is your reasoning behind not wanting a mechanical? Most people don't like mechanicals because of either the noise or the price. I can't help you on the price, but I can strongly recommend getting a Topre Realforce 87U. This keyboard is phenomenal... without a doubt, the best mechanical keyboard I have ever laid hands on. Quality wise, it easily trumps even the best out there, the WASD, Das, Filco, Poker, KBT, Leopold, all fall short of it. It uses the Japanese Topre switch, which is tactile yet quiet, and silky smooth. It's a real pleasure to type on or play on, and great at the office (another one that uses Topre is the "Happy Hacking" keyboard, but it is compact).

Sadly, the price is equal to its high quality. Try getting one used if it is too daunting. Otherwise, I would recommend a Cherry MX Red keyboard, such as the Leopold 700 or Filco Majestouch using reds, if you don't like the normal loud clicks of the Razor mechanical keyboards (which are usually MX Blue)

If you need macros, I would either go with another "gaming" keyboard from Logitech, or just get a keyboard-like keypad, such as the Nostromo.

Thanks Enigma; I did actually notice that, but I figured he most likely had the MX Black or MX Brown keys on the Filco because the Reds are harder to find; he does not make it clear that sound is his primary concern. If it is, he's probably looking for that "whisper quiet" key touch that you can get on a rubber dome (aka laptop) keyboard, but which is also accomplished through the use of MX Reds or Topre keys if they are not bottomed out while typing, due to their linear/non-clicky internal design. Hence my recommendation. Hope that clarifies it. Trainwreck, any thoughts?
