New Forum Layout Ideas?

true, but when I logged out, you were still looking to not have to do the actual theme work (cutting,php hacking) , but just the layout stuff.
If you get something on the testsite though it's easy enough for me to import that to the main site though

I have yet to see a theme though that was lots of hacking of the vb code that was done quickly.

 

I would like a darker colour as the background lameofdog autumn idea sounds good

 

autumn/military earth tones

some some rustic reds and oranges mixed with tom coyote brown, matte black, and olive drab.

 

Like your signature that would be a nice colour scheme with a bit more contrast

 

Use the autumn colors to contrast the dull military colors. Only problem I'm having is what color the text would be to stand out of the forums.

Yes but then you have to consider do you want to spend all day long staring at gold text? I personally enjoyed the readability of the old forum color scheme. dark background ( that wasn't quiet black ) and light text ( I think was some form of grey ). The whole layout was easy on the eyes.

More important to me than the color of anything is how easy on the eyes the pages are going to be when I'm sitting in my room at 1:36 in the morning on a Saturday night with all my lights off.

For example the current color scheme was killing my eyes last night when i was reading through some post, but something completely reverse this scheme wouldn't be to bad on my retinas.

Something like that makes my eyes happy. Cept I'd make the white text grayer.

Holy crap I was actually listened to, when I said something about orange text.

 

Yeah, the orange on black is very easy to read, and the gray helps subdue everything a bit.

 

Yea I like this layout its simple but it looks good to me changing the post box to grey or black would be good
