Most formal training is not available to a good deal of our members, pop martial arts however are.

I have no idea what this means. Want to learn how to stop the fight in the least amount of moves then you study krav maga. It's available in most major cities.

Most traditional styles only have a few highly skilled legit teachers per state/province, smaller rural areas may only have a few places to learn that you can actually find, especially if you're not in the circles already. Even in large circles, some introductory networking has to be done to get instruction from people who aren't full of shit.

I am not taking pop martial arts . . .

Samuel Braga <--- Google him. He's my professor and teaches every class unless he's at the Worlds or the PanAm Games. I do not take him for granted and am very blessed to have him as an instructor.

Right now, BJJ is my only workout. Tomorrow, I start P90X (Lean Program) and hope to eventually add running and/or swimming. I'm also already a member of the Fitocracy group.

Personal Note: I think I'm going to steal the train tracks pic (Lev, you should use it as your Avatar ;) )

Well it's more about expanding my online identity, the site is pretty networked with google and facebook and tracks a lot of the same data points. Hell, in the last few months my shield hasn't even let me view it.

I mean I probably could contribute to the thread as I'm a human kinetics, anatomy and physiology student, but honestly it would take far too long and the crowd already in this thread would be too difficult.

Why would it take too long to contribute in the Fitocracy thread? You work out, you post your workouts, earn points, levels, badges, and can network with and ask questions of other people who are interested in getting in shape. Now, if you intend to go all know it all and wax on and on in scientific and medical terms to prove God knows what, then please stay away.

Has nothing to do with anything.

    CARDIO BUNNY DETECTED. I lol'd

Carido bunnies are funny to me because if they only knew what they really could accomplish as a human being.

K, want to get the best workout in the least amount of time possible? Get a kettlebell and look up workouts on youtube. Takes a minimal amount of time and the workout you get is great.
