Hi All, Though I'd start a thread for anyone who loves Football (that's Soccer to our American members & friends) Feel free to discuss anything relating to Footie in here, what teams you support, other teams you like to follow, etc etc...! I myself support two teams, a bit unusual but it's because I was actually born in Lisbon, Portugal but we moved to the UK when I was 9, still, I support my hometown team, Sporting Clube de Portugal (Sporting Lisbon to the rest of the world) but since being in the UK I also support Liverpool FC (YNWA People!!) The Premier League is heating up! What a game today between United and Eventon! Anyone watch it? Yesterday was also a great game for El Clasico at the Camp Nou, Barcelona finally beat by Real Madrid, was super happy with that (don't like the fact the Press love Barcelona and make them out to be angels!) Anyway, share your thoughts here if there are any other XoO Football lovers
I love football. I have my preferences. 4 clubs have my sympathy ; Ajax, AC Milan, FC Volendam and Sunderland. Every season some other club will join temporarily the list. I will never bask someones brain because he/she supports a different team, but I will never set a foot in Eindhoven! Oh this summer, Germany will become the new European Champion in Poland & Ukraine. My all-time favorite players (in random order) are : Marco van Basten Krystoff Warzycha Wlodi Smolarek (+ Ebi too) Jozef Kiprich Christian Panucci Kevin Philips Dennis Bergkamp Vincenzo Montella Eric Cantona Miroslav Klose Robin van Persie
Some great players in there, I loved watching Dennis Bergkamp, that man had magical feet! He still performed in Europe etc as well even though he has to travel by land and thus longer than the rest of the team due to his fear of flying, he was more tired but he still produced magic! He was epic!
woooo some footy fans !!! I only got into football after my ex got me to go too a game when I was in Germany meeting her family since then I have been hooked almost as much as hockey. Teams I support New York Red Bulls Real Madrid ... I cant stand the way people think messi is a god nor do I like the way Barca plays ... + my boy Ozil is an amazing play maker Bundesliga = Hannover 96 (ex is from Hannover) Europe play def Bayern since Dortmund sucks at Europe play BPL no idea I like the way Spurs and Man City plays ... Bale is one of my fav players from that part of the world International I am all bout Germany then USA if anyone has Fifa on XBOX let me know ... ill gladly lay down the hurt on ya
Özil is a great player, too bad he's misused at Real Madrid. He is postioned on the rightside (or the bench), but he's much better in the centre as "spielmacher". This summer is his big test, if he can shine at EC 2012, he will make my list of all time favorites.

The only thing I can tell you about football is that my country's team is garbage at it. And somehow won a whole bunch of sporting awards for not being as garbage as expected in the 2010 WC. (I suppose that for embarrassing Italy they might have deserved a couple, but let's not get carried away.)
New Zealand put in a great show at the WC! I also think their kit is badass! The new one they got this year is even better! Did anyone see Manchester United v Everton yesterday? 4-4 what a game!!
