If you're a Star Trek geek - you might want to follow this Twitter account: @tlhInganHol For random tweets of everyday Klingon expressions. LOL (yes, I am easily amused)
I like Star Trek. Though I do not speak klingon, I do not own an uniform and I've got not memorabilia. Guess I have to recover my twitter-account password.
I have freinded George Takei on facebook..that is about the extent of it. There will be another Star trek tv show after the next movie. Abrams will be involved. I happy about that. as for the twitter feed..I hate Klingons..
My favourite character as a kid was Tasha (TNG). Riker was awesome too. And I always enjoyed the presence of a Klingon on the Enterprise, in the form of Worf. Spoiler I was really sad when Tasha died.
I found this yesterday and it was funny, informative and just damn cool... plus I ended up with a great idea for a campaign that my boss just loves (thanks to the video)... This is a two-thumbs up production for the general fan and the self defined Trekkie alike: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9G5ciMqFNM&feature=endscreen&NR=1
Just to give an update: Wil Wheaton is a tremendously nice guy and has charisma coming out of his ears, Brent Spiner is a lovable jackass, Marina Sirtis is really easy-going and a super-nice lady, Jonathan Frakes has the energy of a 15 year old and a penchant for spontaneous hugz, Michael Dorn is just really damn cool and Levar Burton is one of my childhood heroes. Gates McFadden and Patrick Stewart didn't say a word to me though, but I think they were both exhausted. I felt kind of bad for them. Frakes and Wheaton are really into this kind of stuff, but I can understand some people really just can't handle it well. I didn't see Denise Crosby because I don't remember her much, but I'm sure she's a really nice person too. On a side note, John DeLancie (played "Q") was totally left off the billing! WTF! He was there too! He was in both the first episode and the last episode of TNG, it seems unfair to leave him out, especially when Denise Crosby got top billing! I'm not a trekkie, but I enjoyed TNG a lot when I was a kid and it was really amazing to meet all of them (minus Denise). It was kind of like zipping back to your childhood and meeting your heroes. I know it's kind of a silly thing, but it's really great to bump a fist or shake a hand and say "I really enjoyed your show, thanks so much!"
Dying to know why you refer to Brent as a "lovable jackass"? Did he do something specific/funny that's worth sharing? I'd love to see them include Whoopi - as they discuss in the video's I posted... far more interesting than Denise Crosby.
Brent was just kind of a funny guy and toed the line between being a jerk and a joker a bit. I saw him both at his booth and on the stage at a few panels. It's tough to recall anything in particular, but he jokingly gave Wil a hard time and there was this one lady who was so excited to see him she just kept giggling awkwardly and he kind of teased her a bit and made her really embarrassed. He wasn't ever mean about anything, but it kinda made you raise your eyebrows a bit, he's really got a sharp wit. He plugged his new show a lot too, take a look if you like because he said if you don't watch it he won't be out to get you. The implication being that Star Trek fans would want Brent to be out to get them. http://www.youtube.com/user/freshhellseries
