Why use CCCP if you have VLC? VLC comes with its own pre-packaged codecs already that the program uses by default. There is no need to install other codecs if you are using VLC to play your media files

    Adding gimp
what version of ps would be good to get a "discount" on? ;]
do i need avast if i have MSE?

i use CCCP because back a few years I got my hands on some obscure OGM files and they didn't play-- that and my HD cam kicks out some wacky filetypes and i want to make sure it's the files that are bugging instead of the codecs

Remember that the only discounts you are allowed to take are the legal kind.

MSI Afterburner 2.2.0 Beta 10 and on has Fraps-quality recording and is for free.

In regards to inexpensive Adobe Photoshop, the cheapest is here: http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=1259461011&ref_=pe_71120_23225510&fb_source=message

And, in case you're wondering, Amazon does actually mail the academia version no questions asked. There's a lot of technical details that get confusing after a certain point anyway. What if you were a student, or will be a student, are an alumni, etc etc.
