Ya I have seen plenty of the PS3 exclusives, considering I have a PS3.

Uncharted, God of War, Metal Gear Solid 4, Wipeout HD, Killzone 3.

Please watch it when you try to knock console gaming.

I'm not sure what you said about PC quality. Want me to start listing some PC games that look amazing as well? It can be done. Just requires the proper development team.

This game just looks great. Hopefully they will be making an MMO.

Wow, this game is sick, I'm having fun with it. Perfect game for in between TERA beta's.

I played about 55-60 hours so far, just started the eastern continent. It's a lot of fun so far, I definitely recommend it to any action RPG fans.

Aye. The beta was cool, now with the max out graphic options and full storyline, KoA:TR is just killer.

And a patch will be coming soon to give much more camera options, which is really one of my only complaints about the game

There's a small unsupported program that allow you to change the FOV, the game is much better at 60-70. Heck the game must be 45, I played a lot at the default FOV and it's not so bad when you know the tricks... like moving away from the enemy in combat and then start fighting. But more camera options and hopefully FOV change will be most welcome.

He wasn't knocking console gaming as far as I could see. It was a less direct method of saying that Art Direction != Graphical Quality. If you don't like an Art Direction, then that's fine as it's all preference but that does not necessarily mean that the quality is poor.

There is currently an MMO in development that takes place in the same universe as KoA:R, though a number of years in the future.

I actually really like the art style/ graphical direction. I dunno exactly how you call it but I've always been a fan of the games that take the more cartoony/simplistic type graphics then trying to make them realistic looking and fail miserably, especially for MMO's. Then again I'm more about performance and clarity then I am graphic detail. But yeah I think people mistake art direction with quality. Some people like the more realistic approach and some like cleaner, simpler, cartoonish look.

Also, is there a way to respec?

Haha also, what spec do you guys enjoy the most?

I'm a fan of the art style as well. The texture quality of the game may not be high but every area has the right ambiance and look, AFAIC.

I've seen no perks while playing on Hard. Enemies just seem to hit harder and have more HP. Also, if you die multiple times, the game will ask you if you want to drop the difficulty setting, LOL.

Fateweavers can reset your ability and skill points.

I'm playing a Finesse/Sorcery hybrid. Roguish ambush&evade tactics for the most part, with some lightning bolt ranged attacks.

I too am doing a hybrid finesse/Sorcery combo. I am mainly in the mage department, with high lightning and fire attacks. Those both do considerable damage and recharge fairly quickly. Then in the finesse area I max out critical and stealth stuff, as well as dagger damage and combos. Mostly I just use my spells a lot though, as they do far more damage than any dagger combo can. With my fire attack I (at lvl 15 right now) can hit 5 enemies at once for 300-500 (with a crit) damage.

I plan to play through the game again after this playthrough and do a straight might character though with either a longsword or a greatsword as my main

I was playing Finesse/Sorcery at first but did not use magic very often so I ended up going pure Finesse. With Fin/Sorc you need to use fire spells and fire dmg weapons in order to cause dread, which will give you instant crits with your weapon. If you guys use mostly magic with this hybrid, I would recommend Chakrams instead of daggers/faeblades. They deal pure magic damage and you can concentrate on getting +elemental dmg gear (Robes mostly) instead of pure crit dmg. If I had to do Fin/Sorc again I would go with the following build.

Using a gear hybrid of Elemental % dmg and crit dmg. Assassination is used for a spell cast from stealth, getting +60% damage, great way to start a fight. Shadow Flare is one of the strongest spell in the game when dealing with big monsters, at point blank you will land 3-5 projectiles dealing a lot of dmg and the stagger effect is great. You use frost traps to land stuns on the main enemy while clearing the adds, the rest is pretty much self explanatory... simply maxing critical damage, poison damage and giving you 2 utility spells Lunge and Smoke Bomb.

In the sorcery tree it's about maxing Chakram damage and moves. With all the defensive and passive spells, while focusing on Fire Spells to cause the dread effect. Storm Bolt is also a good filler for the stun. You have 13 points left once you unlock the last Finesse/Sorcery destiny so you could put 5 points into Elemental Rage or max out the lightning tree. Or even grab the Shield Bash + 20% Health + 13 % Elemental Resistance in the might tree.

Right now I am full Finesse with Faeblades, no need for a talent build you pretty much need to grab everything to reach 109 points spent. I think I will respec and try the following build... a tri-way build, Universalist.

Pure weapon damage using a hammer, maxing out every skills that can possibly stun. Focusing on +physical dmg and +%dmg vs stunned enemies gear. Frost trap, Quake, Smoke Bomb, Storm Bolt + combos with hammer all have chances of heavy 3-5 sec. stuns.

Every stream I click on they are finesse/sorc as well. I started out Might but it was quite apparent it doesn't have the same amount of diversity as finesse/sorc. Right now I'm full finesse though, specializing in ranged bow and daggers.

Finesse/Sorc was the main focus during most marketing videos which explains why it's so popular. It's also very dynamic. But as far as build strength goes, it is fairly weak. All the good significative talents from Finesse comes with 70 points, especially if you are melee and not using a bow. Execution (Bonus dmg on targets bleeding), Paralytic Poison (Stun % on poisoned target) and Gambit (Decent AoE with knockbacks) all require over 70 points... which you cannot get with a hybrid build.

Might/Sorcery is actually much stronger, especially if you focus on stuns and stun damage. Something like this build.

You don't really deal any elemental damage with this build, you wear heavy armor and a badass hammer. You stun the enemy by any means necessary and get all the support spells from the Sorcery tree. Shield, Summon, Heal, etc. It's actually quite strong but it doesn't feel like a hybrid as much as Finesse/Sorcery does.

Another very strong build is the Might/Finesse, focusing on using a bow. Something like this build.

Focus on bow attacks and poison, you have all the longsword skills as backup. You can pull some decent burst with Quake stun + bow combo. You get a lot of defensive skills and the points in Might gives you a lot of HP, so you can focus on Rogue gear with crit % and crit damage.

Hybrid builds are really fun, but for the most part purist builds are stronger. Especially Archmage and Warlord.

How many times have you respecced that it's costing you a lot of money? I can't spend money fast enough in this game... At lvl 29, I have 1.5mil right now just from selling the blues/yellows/purples I find.

I'm still only level 7, so I have like 10k atm after buying some stuff.

I dunno what it is but I spend a shit ton of time at the vendors and sorting my bags and crafting and whatnot. Everytime I come back from some questing I spend just as much time in town crafting and what not.

Btw, anyone know of a Alchemy guide? I just want to see the different combos that produce recipes.

    Alchemy Guide

Not the greatest guide, but I think it has everything.
