So thoughts on the Multiplayer they announced. Personally as long as it has absolutely no bearing on the primary storyline I'm ok with it. And I had another thought but I can't for the life of me remember it. Which I now realize nobody cares about, but whatever.
Thank god it's not competitive multiplayer. In terms of co-op I think it could be pretty fun if they pull it off. I especially like how it can impact the main storyline though.
I do think they stated it would somehow benefit your single player experience by doing multiplayer. Now, I'm not sure if it directly affects it - but maybe there are some bonuses added to your SP game if you do MP. Seems like kinda... Horde mode or such from the GoW series. Pick your race, and your class then go do some linear missions. I'll welcome it I guess.
They already answered that. To achieve a perfect playthrough you need to achieve a 100% galactic readiness level to combat the reapers. You can increase this though multiplayer, but they stated its still possible to do it in single player
So cap out Multiplayer first? Or.. can you run through the Singleplayer first and still get "desired" outcomes? Hmpf.
... and where did you get that idea? It's like saying you couldn't have a perfect game in Mass Effect 2 without a guide because you needed almost everyone's Loyalty. 100% readiness could and will most likely be as easy as making sure everyone is Loyal and you have all the possible upgrades in Mass Effect 2. That or there will be some randomly generated missions based on the multiplayer but with AI instead of actual players. At this point it's all assumptions.
I just don't understand why every company feels the need to put multi-player in clearly single player games. It's like Nintendo looking at Metroid and going ' you know what this needs, more trolling assbaggery.'
I like the idea of multiplayer in Mass Effect, but I would rather it have been done to where a friend could pick up a controller and take control of one of your chosen squad mates for a mission rather than a separate game mode that affects Single Player.
A well put and totally valid point. ... But I agree entirely with this post. I love this idea. Actually, the Lego-movie mashup games games work this way and it is truly fantastic. A parent, sibling or friend can jump in at any time and help out as a player in the game for a bit when things get tricky and then jump out without interrupting the game. I love that.
Well anyhow, demo comes out on Feb 14th (Forever Alone), and co-op is included, Who wants to play a couple rounds?
I actually pre-ordered yesterday. I was disappointed to be told that the N7 collectors edition is no longer on sale, so I had so go standard. ;-;
Oh crap! I was gonna grab the N7, also.... damn it. I'll just wait until release then. With Digital delivery, presales without additional content are kind of moot.
