  1. TERA Online Application
    How old are you?
    24
    In-Game Name?
    ABlueLotus
Do you have Teamspeak 3 and a mic?
    Yes
    What is your primary class?
    Warrior
    Why did you choose XoO:
The goals of your organization seem to be closely aligned with my own, and this seems to be a well organized group with ample resources. I feel being in a strong guild will make TERA's political system an enjoyable experience, and I expect this group will have a strong presence there. I also respect the few members I've seen in TERA's previous tests and around the forums there. Both the name of your organization and the visual presentation in their signatures and on this site are very appealing to me as well. Having a community comprised of mature adults would also be a welcome break from your standard fare of immature children and trolls the internet seems to be so full of.
    Previous Gaming Experience:
Long ago, I began my MMO career with Runescape. I played that for a while before moving on to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory for some time. After that, I played a Chinese grind fest MMO called Conquer Online for about 5 years. In more recent years, I've spent about 4 months playing Aion followed by a couple years playing League of Legends almost exclusively. Near the end of that period, I played Vindictus for about a month. That leaves me within the last couple months, during which I received a DOTA 2 beta invite and moved to that from LoL. I've also played various single player games here and there such as the Elder Scrolls series, Mass Effect, almost every Tomb Taider game, many of the Infinity Engine games (Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment), Fallout (1-3!) and, of course, Minecraft. I've also dabbled in Starcraft, becoming rather effective at marine marauder rush at one point, as well as Counter Strike Source and Team Fortress 2, but not for long periods of time.
Why do you think you'll be a good fit?
I've always been competitive and PvP focused in my gaming career. The game I mentioned above, Conquer Online, had free open world pvp which I very much enjoyed (with no safe zones for a while) where dying would cause you to lose most of your inventory and some experience. Having a similar system in TERA was one of the major draws for me, and I intend to fully utilize it. I also tend to spend large amounts of time playing and working towards improving my characters as well as intelligently optimizing equipment and skill builds, so I hope a group similarly interested in pushing towards superiority will be a good fit.
What will you contribute to the guild?
I tend to be very good at having a large amount of knowledge about the game and the things that inhabit it. This may be somewhat less important with the advent of wikis and databases, but there are some things that aren't easy to look up, and having the knowledge offhand is somewhat more convenient. I'm also very good at using the tools available to me to locate information that may not be readily available. In addition, I intend to be a force to be reckoned with in PvP scenarios, both organized and open world, as well as highly effective in PvE engagements.
    Localization:

    Do you have a referral?

    A little bit about yourself?
I am generally calm, level headed and, above all, logical. I don't get upset very often, and I generally like to try to mediate disputes if I can see a clear resolution. I'm not especially creative when it comes to conversation with no overall direction, but I can offer insights, helpful advice and humor when presented with an activity or discussion I can engage in. I am loyal and most often amicable. In everything I do, I like to make sure I do it as well as I can. I like to delve in and learn all the details so I can tweak and optimize everything and analyze the most optimal configurations. I also consider aesthetics to be very important.
    Activity level?
    50+
Do you have a high speed internet connection and a good computer?
    Yes
Have you applied to the TERA usergroup?
    Yes

Recruitment is on a temporary hiatus for about 2 more weeks. You are free to wait and post around, leave, or apply again in the future.

  3. Will my application be considered once recruiting is reopened, or does this mean I'll have to reapply at that point?

If you stay active your application will be considered, otherwise if you go inactive it will be denied and you will have to re-apply.
