razer naga = best MMO mouse ever 1-12 second bar of hotkeys shift+ 1-12 left bar of hotkeys ctrl+ 1-12 and on and on and on so nice
I used it for fps..tribes...unreal. the mouse was look.the stick was direction. I had a flight stick for red baron multiplayer.
I'd be much more likely to get this then a naga. I don't like that hte naga has everything crammed into one spot and seems easy to misclick spells with. This appeals more to me because you have various thumb options that don't easily confuse with one another as well as other keys that fit well with other finger movements. Same reason I like my Logitech G9x. I have some thumb keys, index keys and wheel options that don't put all the work on my finger and are easy to differentiate when in use. It is a shame logitech doesn't have a MMO mouse like these to show off.
guess it is using a joystick..but using a joystick and mouse at the same time. the wasd keys are "pressed" by the joystick with added diagonal movement. the spin ball is simply an upside down mouse.
got my mmo7 in the mail today. Barely scratched the surface on customizing it for one game I play so far. For anyone interesting in seeing how the keybinds actually work I found this video: One thing I didn't know before getting it is there are buttons you cannot rebind. I guess I could have pieced that info together form past reveals but didn't. Those buttons are: The orange ActionLock buttons (which turn LMB and RMB into toggle autofire keys) and DPI key And the profile (the leftmost lit button in pic1) and shift button (pinky button in Pic2). These two buttons together are the ones that cycle through the 6 sets you can have per profile. Three sets each with their own shift subset. Only 13 of the buttons are bind-able (the stuff along the left side) which does place it below Logitech customization quality IMO. Games not needing as much buttons would benefit from allowing users to customize that pinky and extra index finger buttons and loose some profile options, but over all it is nice for MMOs and does offer the 78 programmable buttons it claims.
definitely will have a learning curve. seems like a lot of motions to manipulate the controls, but I can definitely see how-with enough practice- this could be a powerful tool. Too bad they dont make 'em south paw. I owned a R.A.T. for all of 3 hours before it went back to the store because it simple wont work as a lefty- too akward.
I have the Rat7, actually its my second Rat7 and it is my favorite mouse ever. Originally I upgraded to the Rat7 from a Razer Mamba mouse, and that mouse is no slouch. For people with big hands it is probably the best mouse out there. I got a new one about a month ago because the old one I had the right mouse button stopped clicking properly. It was over a year old and I am not gentle with it. I wanted to get the MMO one but BB didn't have it at the time of purchase. I think for me its more important to have extra buttons on my keyboard than mouse anyways, being that I have big hands.
