You have it too Enigma, big time. Sounds almost like a surfer dude but not all that heavy. It's very "laid back" no other way to describe it.
My cousin talks like that too now that he's been there for a few years. It's so odd.

Also, there's two ways of speaking in NY.. There's the annoying city/jersey accents (Brooklyn is the freaking WORST imo)..then there's upper new York which is like..you got smashed in the face with something from Ottawa..
