There are 10 classes in Dark Souls: Warrior: A fearless warrior and weapons expert with high strength, dexterity. Knight: You start as a low ranking knight with high HP and solid armor. You're not easily toppled. Wanderer: The aimless wanderer has high dexterity. He/She wields a scimitar. Thief: Guilt-ridden, the thief deals high critical hits and has a Master Key. Bandit: Savage, but with high strength, the bandit wields a battle axe. Hunter: The hunter wields a bow and arrows; perfect for close-range combat. However, this class is vulnerable to magic. Sorcerer: Trained at the Dragon School, they cast soul sorcery. Pyromancer: They are armed with a hand axe and can cast fire spells. Cleric: The cleric casts healing miracles and wields a mace. Deprived: The deprived class starts the game with only a club and plank shield. He has no clothes. Which Dark Souls class are you most interested in playing? im thinking of going either Pyromancer or Hunter. I wonder which class will be the "Black Knight" in the NA release, I heard the Black Knight was the only class that could invade other players games. I heard there is also a special trophy that you unlock for beating the game with a deprived character (not confirmed) but ill look into it after I beat the game the first time.
Alot of the bosses are easier to fight with ranged combat then melee (not all) but alot of them from the streams I have been watching. There are people that have tried pure magic builds but I havent seen any archers yet.
If it's anything like the first game, a bow is not for using while in combat, it's for picking off enemies while out of range. I'd go thief or wanderer but I voted thief. However starting class just like the first game probably makes little difference later on. However that master key thing sounds like a different story.
whatever =royal so i can just cheese the early bosses with missile spam if its like demon souls it wont really matter what you start with since in the end you can use everything
