    Yep :( One of my friends had her horse show in the Hamptons cancelled cause of it. They had moved 20 horses for it too. Hurricane's suck. I hope nothing gets too damaged from this one

    Personally, all the hysteria up north here.... bullcrap.

    OMG EARTHQUAKE!
    OMG HURRICANE! LET'S BUY OUT ALL THE BATTERIES AND FLASHLIGHTS, AND WATER AND FOOD... that will probably go bad anyways cause if the power goes out..your fridge isn't crank operated herp durp.

    I agree with rae on this one. As a veteran of central Florida and now in Virginia in the path of this thing. All the hype and hysteria is overplayed and over the top

    It really comes down to the drainage systems and sea level of the places being hit. Pretty much anyone on a barrier island is going to lose quite a bit.

    When Ike came through Houston we were without power for a month and without water for a little less. No fuel to be found for about twice that long. Shit can happen, it just normally doesn't.

    Must get UPS with very large battery system. If the gaming computer goes down, life just isnt worth living...

    so my one house is 1 canal in from the south bay on long island ... we got told too evacuate before noon tomorrow so we did all the prep work tonight on that house ...

    the house im in now is only half a mile north of where the mandatory evac is going on ... should be interesting
