http://www.giantbomb.com/news/games...-copies-because-theyre-gamestop-updated/3614/ ook: That's pretty bad must be some laws somewhere about selling use merchandise as new. Or altering a product and not informing customers that it has been altered before sale.
They are now pulling all the PC versions and sending them back. Which is what they should have done in the first place if they didn't want to sell it as is. http://www.giantbomb.com/news/gamestop-pulling-deus-ex-human-revolution-pc-off-shelves/3618/
Correction, No pc user shops there. But now with an online offering....perhaps things will change. They have traded between a 52-week range of $17.70 and $28.66. Regardless they do huge hardware sales, but lackluster pc in part due to online entities like steam as you said, direct 2 drive ect. Only time will tell, but I made some money on them before I sold off in may so i'm happy.
Thats pretty low of Gamestop but its not the first time that customers have reported purchasing opened items that were listed as "new" by gamestop. I myself have even purchased games from my local gamespot before and when I got home noticed that the seals were missing from the retail box but didnt think much of it.
