[note : modern Fantasy swords, not Mythical or Historical ones]

I kept thinking while reading the list that they were missing one.

I mean, reading about all these swords, I realized they were missing the most important one.

The most famous, kick-ass, feared and awesome one.

I thought that if they had left it out their list, the whole article would be just bollocks ....

Then I read which one was #1.

And then I nodded in approval.

It is the only valid choice.

I hope for you you'll come to the same conclusions, else you're missing out on some of the most kick-ass and baroque fantasy.

I was disapointed not to see The Dragon Slayer and Soul Reaver.

    Dragon Slayer

    Soul Reaver

However that being said, the list is very impressive. I actually have never read Stormbringer, and after seeing this I intend to read them now.

Though, out of that list, my personal favourite would have to be The Atlantean Sword, followed by Soul Edge.

Also, this is the sword I own ^-^

I was also surprised to not see Dragonslayer. Conan's sword was there though, so props to the guy.

I have never heard of Stormbringer before. Would have made more sense to put Excalibur there.

    Joyeuse

    Cortana

The "Sword of Thousands Truths" should of been in there, it's more famous then the Frostmourne.

I was just about to say, do we consider Masamune and Muramasa as fictional, or historical? I mean, yes, they really did exist, but their rumored mystical powers I think alluded more to the character of the sword maker rather than the sword itself.

I would agree with the others, no Dragonslayer = bad list

I guess they're separating traditional fantasy/folklore with contemporary fantasy.
