I must say, I thought it was a well done season and stayed very true to the book. Now the long wait tell next season. So, bets on how long until a GoT MMO is announced?
Agreed on the well done season. The finale was great. Any idea when the next season is supposed to start?
Spring 2012 :/ Good news is that George R.R. Martin will be writing the episode with the Battle of The Blackwater
I was hearing rumors that the next season was occurring in the fall/winter of this year. Has there been any official announcements of when it is happening?
When I did a google search to find out all I saw on some TV place was that it is supposed to be spring of 2012. I dont know if that is official or not, but it would be just like the Season 1 timeframe.
That's what I heard as well, they started the casting in May 2011 and will probably start filming this summer. Spring 2012 makes sense.
im in the middle of book 3 now, and omg i have no idea how its going to end, its really refreshing to read something where you cant predict whats going to happen.
I watched all 10 episodes this weekend ... and I came one conclusion .. is there anyone more hate-able than Cersi Lannister ...man she is so good at playing that roll Gru
Jeoffrey is a little fucking twat. I hate him more. At least Cersei Spoiler would have let Ned live, I think. She seemed distressed about his decision in that matter. Not as much as Sansa but still not pleased about it. I also got the feeling that she did not approve of his handling in the matter of the bard.
I think Cersei only wanted Ned left alive so that war with the north could be averted and the Lanister's could get whats his face back from captivity through a trade.
I gotta stay away from the wiki ... its keeps killing my interest characters who are going to stay alive through out the series lol Jon Snow is a favorite so far, as is the "Imp" and yeah Joffrey is an extreme punk ass ....
Nothing wrong with wanting to avoid war and get Tyrian/Jaime back. Cersei was smart enough to realise that it was a dumb idea to kill Ned.
Yeah but chicken before egg, She had one their dogs killed, and is also partly responsible for throwing a kid out a window .
And she only gets worst. I'm reareading Feast of Crows (book 4) and you get to see more of Cersei's descent.
I saw the series and hadn't read the books... after reading this, I'm heading out to snag the books. As an FYI regarding the next series. It will be on at the same time next year. The HBO season is pretty mature for Sunday nights... Dexter, Spartacus then GoT. If you haven't seen the Spartacus series, you gotta watch it. Absolutely incredible... it's almost too bloody for me, but the drama, sex and politics seems to override the squick factor from the gore. HBO continually produces incredible stuff. Kudos to them. PS - I think calling Michelle Fairley butt ugly is a bit harsh. She may not compare to a 23 year old girl living in a Mediterranean climate ... but few women do. Especially women who have lived in a harsh north country, birthing 5 children, without the benefit of doctors, dentists, cosmetic surgeons, facials, manicures and other things like... year round fresh fruits and vegetables. I bet if you lived in Scotland in that era, you'd have found Catelyn to be quite a 'comely' woman indeed.
I started reading the novels after watching the series on HBO. Adds a lot more depth to the characters and story.
