True, I'm sure Kaberle would agree he could have done much more. It'll be interesting to see if he goes back to the Leafs or stays in Boston. Not even sure if either team wants him at this point.

Boston deserved the win, Canucks didn't bother to show up for the most important game of their lives. No excuses. I was downtown watching the game and after the loss, my heart just sank. We were all disappointed but not disgusted, what disgusted me was the shit that happened afterwards.

There were a bunch of Black Bloc assholes scattered throughout the 100,000+ crowd and right after the game was over, they started what they were going to do win or lose. Many people witnessed these bastards pull out molotov cocktails from their backpacks and proceded to start the first car fire while others started fights with different people in the crowd. Once everything started happening, the mob mentality began engulfing some of the crowd. Alot of people tried to stop the crap that was happening but there were just too many drunk and idiotic people there. Some of the crowd actually were able to subdue a few of the Black Bloc and helped police arrest two that was in the crowd close to us. I booked it out of there once we realized this was going to get out of hand. It was extremely disgusting. We can blame the Black Blocs all we want but the couple thousand idiots that followed their lead, were just that, friggin idiots. If my buddies and I hadn't left when we did, I probably wouldn't even be posting today....

There was so much going on all over that it seemed like a movie, we were 25+ strong and trying to leave downtown, we were all watching our backs. Mind you my buddies are not the most law abidding citizens in the world and we were friggin nervous. While walking away, we saw a bunch of drunk idiots mob a couple of Boston fans and eveyone around that was still sane came to their aid and pushed those idiots away. Unfortunely one of the Boston fan was knocked completely out and his face was bloodied beyond recognition. Police and paramedics came quickly to help him out and we continue to move away. While crossing one of the bridges that lead out of the downtown core, we heard explosions probably from the cars on fire explodiing and when we turned around to look back at the downtown skyline, it was like a picture from Battle:LA.

I can't find any of the pictures yet but at an early point of the riot, a large bunch of the sane citizens locked arms and created a wall to block the mob from trying to push forward towards the few police and paramedics that were within the huge crowd. All the media has shown the worst of the crowds but alot of us witnessed how most of the people present tried to stop the mobs. Unfortunately, it caused more and more agression and police told them to just try to leave the downtown core, Riot squad and Police will be arriving shortly. I still feel sick and disgusted at what happened. Extremely disgusted.

UPDATED: Arrests made last night have identified people that are on Blacklist from last year's Olympics and G8 Summit. These individuals ranged from Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Seattle and Portland and are known Black Bloc members. I will find a link later but just heard this on the news. I still don't understand how these people managed to get passed the police checkpoints with backpack full of molotiv cocktails when entering the downtown core....

That sounds terrible. Glad to hear you and your buddies are safe. I feel sorry for the guys getting beaten. I knew from the start it was the damn anarchists. True Canadian hockey fans wouldn't start crap like this.

Thats what the police chief said up there, he was like you don't go do a hockey game with incendiary devices and such unless you have the intention of starting fires.

Glad your okay sen.....that was some crazy shit and that was only watching on tv. Being there, funk that!

They need more Canadian players like the Bruins if they want to win.

    He's a class act, I agree.

Another friend of mine was in the area at the time but decided to get the hell out once he realised the way things were going, and didn't see as much as Senrai did. It's good to hear there were more than a few people trying to stop the riots as well though. Even if some did come out the worse for wear...
