I love the New World Order. Why stop it?

The New World Order should simply be called "World Order", since we don't have any of that right now. 7 billion humans.... things are out of control alright.

Many acts of genocide have occured under the guise of world order. So far there have been two world wars, and the cold war to fight back against such things. Are you really willign to give up all of your personal freedoms for this order to work? Do you want to have everything you do or can do monitored and controlled? Do you want to be like S. Korea where you can only play a game for a set amount of time per day? How about places in the middle east which limit how much education your children may recieve? Most things that "sound " good really are not. Think for yourself, do not follow some slogan.

Probably the ones that think Hyperinflation is a joke, and the government is looking out for their best interests and believes everything they say; even though the evidence says otherwise. :bashful:

    Correct.

The US is not experiencing hyperinflation. Have a look at the German mark in the inter-war period, or more recently the Zimbabwe dollar.

I'm hoping that Congress doesn't vote to raise the borrowing limit so we can finally fail and go into a true depression. It's going to happen someday in the future, the sooner it happens the worse it will be.

It's not that difficult for your government to stop spending more money than it's getting back in taxes. You can even do that by raising taxes.

That's what taxes are meant for! Works a whole lot better than a bankrupt government.

Hehe. One part complicated, two parts annoying.

Unfortunately, the widespread model of democracy hopes that enough of us know what we're doing to vote for the best candidate. Wishful thinking but it beats having a dictator.

It is a slave system designed so you will feel free. A jail without bars.

The truth is this. Even if everyone paid 100% of their income to taxes, it wouldn't be enough to pay off the deficits. But it doesn't matter anyway, because money is just paper, it's not based on a gold standard anymore.
Basically they are enslaving people with monopoly money that has no intrinsic value.

You aren't meant to pay off your debt. You are a slave Neo.

100% tax would actually pay off the deficits within a year, it just wouldn't be sensible to tax that much. A more reasonable increase would pay the debt over time. European governments tend to aim slightly negative and hope that economic growth will pay off the debt.

Well... The argument goes that if we keep spending the way we are now, we wouldn't be able to pay off our debt even if we taxed everyone 100%.

It's also the one where the trolls come out of the woodwork, and have nothing relevant to add to the discussion. If you're gonna shit on someone's thread, just stay the **** out.

I agree completely, it's a terrible system. But at the same time, never in our human history have we had as much freedom and security as we do now. The system isn't perfect but for some reason, we are living better lives because of it. If world order collapses, the world would descend into chaos. Out of the ashes we could end up with something that resembles the dark ages once again.
