A big let down for me . graphics meh . weapons meh . game play OK.
The game does run good on my system with every thing on ultra high . and didn't realy find any dugs in the demo.

    I'm assuming you meant bugs?

I just wish they woulda left it alone. DN3D was so good when it came out, it just took too long to release this, and its just meh. Nothing new, doesn't even look that great, and just kinda looks the same.

Not worth the wait, imo - but.. I hope there are some people who do enjoy it.

I loved it. Exactly what I expected from the Duke. Cant wait to play more. The only thing im sad about is the fact that you can only hold two guns at once. Gearbox has said that it is because of the console that they could not figure out how to add more guns without drastically altering the game between the PC and Console versions. But im still excited.

So drastically alter it. Carrying only two guns is idiotic. Duke doesn't have a back problem.

That would up development time a ton. They can't do that. You would basically have to redesign every level for PC to be different than consoles because of the gun limit. The best way would be to not release it on the console that is limiting them to two guns only. Then they would not have to worry about it.

Yeah, but to be honest... I'd rather play it broken and just set the difficulty level higher, even if it's just a third-party mod.

hahahahahahaha. Ok so here is the plan for how we are going to kick this guys ass! I know you dont understand any of it. Because I bet if you did, that guy would probably still have his arm. And at least one of his balls.

BTW, I love the red marker (if you couldn't tell from my overuse of it). Smells like cherries.

Oh, and the guy in the pic is saying "Why didnt we think of that??? WHY!?!??!"

I didnt play the demo so I dont know how it compares. IMO, Duke Nukem Forever is not really a great game. But the humor is pretty decent, and the nostalgia of playing it is a great reason to buy the game.

The game doesn't take itself seriously and it's for the best. They don't try doing anything crazy, it's a plain shooter with funny one liners, actuality jokes and some hilarious mini games. I would call it a very good rental, or a cheap buy. Like 20-30$ ;)

Normally, when games or movies take too long to produce, the end product is usually mediocre at best. This is a result of (1) a lack of direction and bad decision making on the part of the developers, hence why it never gets done, and (2) high expectations in anticipation of the product over time, by the fans, making the finished product pale in comparison to what they had hoped.

So it's no surprise this game will suck.

I have the game and have to say I bloody love it. Reminds me of the old games more updated.

This game might not be for everyone but for me personally, I think it is fantastic, in all respects. Lots of action, playing the meanest baddass since Chuck Norris. The humours is great, the action is fun and the babes are.....awwwww yer !

Don't go into this game hoping to compare it to something like CoD, because it wont happen.

Its Duke Nukem through and through. Just like the good old days.

If only we still had "the good ole days". While I completely agree with you, and miss playing Quake CTF and TDM by looking up IP addresses and typing them into the console, I do really want to try to be more positive about "modern games".

    I mean, we have to - don't we? : )

Sven Co-op is awesome. Anyways I found a game of DNF kicking around to try, and enjoyed it immensely. I have no clue why it was reviewed so poorly, indeed the gfx aren't all that but the gameplay is load of fun and more, the one liners and writing has made me chuckle for the first time in awhile of game playing.

Not a must buy, but certainly something that everyone should play through once.

Yay. If it was like CoD I'd lose interest immediately.

I don't expect it to be a great game, but it should at least be funny, if not fun, and worth a look once the prices drop.
