Nobody will come right out and say it in the industry but the problem seems to be Microsoft and not the developers. There have been hints and rumors to that effect about other MMO type games that got canceled on the x-box as well.
I just spent 3 bil trying to set up a high sec researching POS. Doing a bunch of invention and such. Now I gotta make it all back and then some.
My mind never jumps to the right acronym for the player owned structure. When I see POS I first think "piece of sh*t", and when trying to figure out the next logical thing, I think "point of sale". Only then do I remember "player owned structure"
oh theres all that, buying stuff and such. but i was thinking about clearing out my list. everyone whos ever killed me, undercut me on contacts, ect, for the past 6 years. with a half trillion i could buy everything id ever so much and felt a fancy for, and officerfit it. then take the rest and figure out who on my list is still around, and have their corp harassed into dissolution, so i can dine on their confused tears. mercs can get expensive when you want them to harass people for months on end, and im sure some of them have worked their way into major alliances over time, so having them ruined could cost a fair penny as well. i am reasonable enough not to think i could have a major nulsec corp wiped out, but i can still ruin the target personally. but i mean, come on, who doesnt have a list like that?
I don't. I can field one man supercap fleets. If I want someone dead they die without costing me a dime
I would be wary of that video. CCP has a long history of promising X Y and Z but only barely delivering on X, forgetting about Y and saying Z will come "soon" but never actually develop it.
Personally speaking I have no interest in this game, but those who do I hope that's not true. I hope it delivers on X,Y, and Z then gives me A and gets my attention. This is a PS3 exclusive but M$ well sucks.
I have no more interest in this game. Game devs needs to stop jerking off and make a good MMOFPS for PC already. Even updating the graphics to Planetside and calling it a new game would be enough!
This is the sort of shit I warn about with CCP. Few companies are so willing to directly fuck their playerbase.
