im also running 3dmark 11 not 6 windows 7 ultimate 64 bit SP 1 ill run a 3dmark 6 after i download it
3dmark 06 is giving me a submission error ... so i have no idea wtf is going on with this new set up ... games run much better so that is what matters ...
Rubius' and my scores are from 3DMark11 as well. Did you install the drivers from the CD that came with it or the latest from nvidia's web site? And ya, as long as the games run much better that is what matters most.
from the website im gonna install previous drivers i think now ... FML if those are from 3dmark 11 ... im almost 1000 less then the top of the charts which should not be happening
Enigma, your 3DMark11 scores were: P6420 X2294 Erock, you should be scoring much higher. I'm not sure what's going on =/ Your system specs look top-notch.
just did the drivers previous and only got a p4572 ... i should be hiting 5200 ish something is def off ... but the card is clocked right and so is the cpu and everything .... I am running low on ideas
ok going off this http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-gtx-560-ti-gf114,2845-5.html here are my results Graphics Score 4219 Physics Score 8357 Combined 4353 GT1 19.66 GT2 19.90 GT3 25.26 GT4 12.93 PT 26.53 CT 20.25 all of which is above what toms got ... mine is the factory OC from EVGA ... so im thinking this has to do with the cpu now maybe not running at 4.5 ... it turns off my second monitor to run the tests so i can not see the CPU speed
Agreed, that was pretty bad. I hope he recovers. On the plus side of things, It's 3-0 right now for the Bruins. [EDIT] Make that 4-0
Sorry to get back on topic, but if that is the score Tom's Hardware got in 3DMark11 then maybe that is just what you should be getting. If you look at the chart for where the 6950 is scoring, we are running at 6970 specs so thats why more score is higher than that. So I suppose this means everything is working fine, your low score is just supposed to be that low
http://3dmark.com/3dm11/1335531 seems my ram is not running at the right speeds ... fml i need to fix that haha and yeah seems to be about right ... but i see other people with much higher scores then I with similar specs
seems i have a slight problem ... i cant OC the ram at all ... it wont boot if i do and i cant load the Corsair in the first slot because of the CPU cooler ... looks like im sticking to what i got ... because the vengeance ram is too large to fit under cooler oh well im just gonna play games it works haha
Looks to me like your right in the middle of the range that other people have with that graphics card and CPU, so you should be good to go. You have two sticks of OCZ RAM and two sticks of Corsair RAM according to 3DMark. The OCZ is not rated very high, only DDR-1066 @ cl9. And it says the Corsair is only rated for DDR-1333 @ cl9. So you cannot run any/very much higher than DDR3-1066 speeds because of the OCZ RAM.
yeah stupid OCZ ram sucks bawls ... i am gonna try and find some ram that is rated a bit higher with same type of heatsink ... hopefully another corsair that will fit ... then ill just return my OCZ ram and get the corsair
so when i bought the OCZ ram it cost me 97 bucks for the 4 gb ... i can get the corsair XMS with lower heatsink profile 9 9 9 24 too match the vengeance and 1600 ... this will be 2x 4gb sticks for the same price ... so im prolly gonna do that in the next week or 2
however ... the vengeance is 1.5 volts and the XMS is 1.65 volts ... everything else is the same and this would bring me up to 12gb ram for basiclly like 10 bucks ... what ya think ? worth it enigma?
