Widow or Das all the way.
Mechanical keyboards take abit of getting used to at first, but they flow like a dream. not sure how much you know about mechanical keyboards, but they are the real deal, true quality. non-mechanical keyboards (rubber membrane or dome, usually) are low quality garbage, all of them. if you pay 100$ish for a high end logitech KB, your paying for a cheap keyboard worth ~15$ or less. only mechanical boards are truly worth anything more than 20 bucks or so. mechanicals last longer, are more reliable and are much more durable, they use hard plastic and dont flex, often have higher quality feet to keep them in place, and mechanical switch keys will actually speed up your typing due to how they are designed.

they are a must-have for anyone who does a good deal of typing. though to be honest, they dont make a big difference in gaming, but it comes down to a choice between a quality product thats worth its price tag, or a inferior but nice looking product that isnt worth anywhere near what they charge for it.

Ive had excellent luck the G15 keyboard, which I think is pre-cusor to the 510. The LED window comes in handy for applications like TS or Ventrillo which can run in the window. Thus freeing up your desktop from programs like "TS overlay".

I have found that if the touch pad doesnt work, then you dont have your bios set up right. And if it freezes, you have bad drivers or firmware installed :/

Might want to see about changing a couple things about USB handoff and controller type in the bios, as well as flash to the latest firmware and install the latest drivers.

But I like the Das keyboard and Razer BlackWidow. I also like the backlighting on the Razer. I love playing in darker rooms so that would be a huge plus for me. I am a fan of Razer and since it is cheaper, I would buy the Razer one if I was ever going to spend that much money on a keyboard ever again. I own a Lycosa and I don't think I will ever buy a keyboard over $25 ever again. The features and all that just don't justify the price tag to me, but everyone is different so if you think it is worth it then go for it.

Also, you can apparently get the Das keyboard cheaper from the manufacturer than through Newegg. At least thats what a Newegg reviewer says

Ive tried dicking with this keyboard tons already, and its time for a change, i love the idea of a mech kb but they are so damn expensive, i would get the black widow but from judging by the lycosa i dunno how i feel about their build quality anymore, I had a mouse by them though too and it was ok i guess, same sorta construction as the lycosa though. also i love backlit keyboards

and newegg has that das for 20% off

I have a g110 and love it. I got a few 35 percent off coupons from pax, so it helped. I have 1 left if you want to go with logitech.

Heard good things about Das Keyboard http://www.daskeyboard.com/

I just buy Microsoft, for the most part it's a very standardized piece of equipment. I'd recommend a well backlit keyboard if you see one for the right price though.

    http://www.amazon.com/Ideazon-Steal...?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1305326812&sr=1-23

Its manufactured by steelseries now and it's in better condition than the older models.
My BF's got the one linked above and I got an updated version from Best Buy when the company got bought out. I've had mine for a year now and it's still in good condition..my BF's..not so much..so I hope that speaks for how the quality has changed. =P
