I've been researching and reading reviews for different aio water kits such as the Corsair H70 and the new Antec Kuhler.

Anyone recommend one of these kits or have experience with them?

And no I don't want to go full custom water cooling yet. ;)

Well the Noctua NH-D14 performs better than the H70, is quieter, and is cheaper.

But the NH-D14 is huge and blocks RAM slots, that isnt a problem with the H70.

I have the 212+ right now, and I'm hittin 80C on LinX runs and Prime95 blends only at 3.6ghz. I'd like to push it up to 4.0ghz stable and keep it there, so I'm looking at other cooling options.

Ambient types in the house are 77F so its a bit warm in here, but even when I was living alone in my little studio keeping it cool it would get close to 80C @ 3.6ghz.

I haven't tried pushin' it past 3.6ghz due to high temps on the CPU so - again I was looking towards other coolers including the AIO kits, H70 and Antec Kuhler 920 specifically.

Problem with my MOBO is that its got a huge vreg heatsink which would make getting a larger air cooler (Venomous-X or the Megahalems) hard to mount or almost impossible.

Anyway - just curious if anyone had used those water cooled kits.

well ambient i have no idea what it is in my room right now but i am in the man cave apartment right now ... with the 2500k OC at 4.5 ghz prime 95 i got above 60 for a bit but during a game ill hit maybe 42 - 46 depending on the game

I went with the 212+ because it was inexpensive and does a great job but if your having issues right now then go with the water for sure :)

i got this kit on ebay, only costs 800 bucks, considering the entertainment value, well worth it.

The new sandy bridge chips overclock easier and run cooler then the x58 chips so we can't really compare the two, but I'm glad its working out for you.

Temps for the H70 should be between 5-10 degrees cooler than the H50 once you push decent voltage and get up beyond 4GHz.

I'm curious how it truly performs against my 212+ if it warrants the $100 pricetag. Guess I'll keep digging around.

Erock, that'd be great - thanks!

I want to know this as well, he might have a golden chip.

With my lil 212+ at 3.6ghz stable (1.25 vcore) I hit 80 in Prime and Linx tests.

    Sucks, lol.
I might just have a hot chip.

The H80 replaces the H70. It is basically the same thing but comes with a second fan on the other side of the radiator. Might have a couple other small changes but I havent heard about them yet.

H100 is a big dual size radiator (finally). It also has two 120mm fans on it, but it has much more surface area for the cooling fins on the radiator since the radiator is much larger. The H100 is more like real water cooling.
