I will be sure picking this game up. Good dev team (Todd McFarlane, need I say more?) They also had an article about this in Aprils issue Game Informer. You start off the game digging your way out of a pile of corpses after being resurrected.
Looks like an average Oblivion clone, but maybe that's because your topic deceived me into expecting something totally mind-blowing. It might also be worth it to put the game's title in your topic, that way we don't have multiple threads and people can actually search the forums for it. McFarlane's involvement can't go past concept art and possibly store-telling. What I mean is, the game won't play better because he's part of the dev team.
Generic 'deep' narration with 'cinematic' camera angles. Video failed to deliver. ...Probably a WoW ripoff. *trollface*
Just a point of accuracy, but it seems nothing like oblivion except for the fact it involves humans, magic, and has a dev from Oblivion. Art style reminded me more of Fable, general fantasy while the gameplay they had definitely hit God of War up. It just doesn't seem open enough to be Oblivion cloning.
Looks good to me, hopefully there will be a demo first. And no, it does not remind me of oblivion at all, some scenes from god of war though.
It looks pretty good, I just played Risen, Gothic 4 and Divinity 2 in the past few weeks... I am starting to dig the open world RPG games way more than I used to. Heck I enjoyed Gothic 4 and it's supposed to be the worst of it's type in over a decade. I bet I will enjoy this game for sure, and Todd Macfarlane writing the story? That alone makes it worth it.
The graphics for all the different attacks and the world itself look pretty nice. So it would be cool if it was like Oblivion in being an open-world type game, but also had great graphics Oblivion engine did not age well at all...
obviously a Final Fantasy ripoff. Its gotz magiks and scawweee monsters and stuffz! ohohoh and trees they gotz the trees too! I would try this game but for a console game, the graphics aren't that impressive to me.
