I don't get where the "bug" part comes in. I don't watch hockey so maybe I'm just a noob in that department, but looked like he just stopped it from going in. GG

If you watch the puck carefully on the replay, after the puck goes thru Quick's legs, it is headed in the direction of the net but right before it crosses the line, the puck changes direction. Probably hit a rut in the ice but it looks 'spoooooky'

I meant like a video game bug. After the puck goes by quick, it takes what looks like a 45 degree angle for no reason at all. So it's almost like there's a bug in the "game's coding"

You're a Leafs fan. You have no opinion

It looks like it hit his stick and thus the trajectory of the puck was changed. Pay close attention at the 6/7 second mark.

It did change trajectory in what seemed like mid-air. Though Senrai's guess that it hit an ice chip at just the right angle is probably what happened. Still friggin awesome.

As of the all-star break I do. Plus, if I don't have an opinion, then fans of a team only 5 points ahead of the Leafs don't have much of an opinion either.

I think you should double-check the replay. The trajectory change happened long after it passed his stick. You can even see the puck bounce off the ground as it changes.

I have to disagree with you. If the puck hit the stick on its way to the ice, the trajectory and rotation of the puck could have been affected. It is nearly impossible to be certain, but it is at least a viable theory.

At least we make the playoffs almost every year. This'll be what...6 years in a row for you?

The puck never hits Quick's stick. It went between his legs and took a slight bounce off his pad. Then as the puck is going into the net it jerks sideways and goes off course. After it went through Quick's legs, he nor anyone else touches it but the ice.

I found a story about it on yahoo. It has a highlight video that includes the shot. At least someone kinda sorta agrees with me :)

wtf just happened, like it completely just stopped and it wasn't moving that slow either and then went completely away from the net.
