    Oh yeah, good call.

Reminds me.. the sun looked so wicked I think it was Thursday, its hard to explain but I had never seen it look the way it did, it was just this perfect ball that didn't burn your eyes.. maybe because I was looking at it through all the SoCal haze, it was trippy though.

Yeah I am looking at it right now and its freaking huge. It may only be 14% bigger but you can notice it. To bad I don't have a fancy camera like our king o' spam Doctorie.

Yet another rare lunar event that I can't witness because you can't see the freaking sky.

Heres an odd thought, the moon exerts gravitational forces on the earth, and it is closer to the earth right now. Could this be causing some of the large earthquakes we dont normally have? Anyone know if the moon has enough pull to do something like that?

It doesn't. There have been pseudo-scientists claiming it does, however.

I don't think the article mentioned it, but it's also 30% brighter.

wish I could have seen it..the clouds must have been jealous.

There are records of the closest moon and there are records of earthquakes ..
    they don't jive.

Lots of great pics on the web from all over the world.

I got a few pictures of this huge moon but sadly my camera is a piece o' junk so the quality is really, really bad. I'll post some pics shortly.

I could see it through the clouds here. At least, I could see the bright glow and approximate size.

Tonight the rain is too heavy.

    The moon looked the same.

I did appreciate the hint of citrus though.
