    I think that this is actually a good thing though, or at least a step in the right direction. Should make maintaining the internet and protecting youths much easier. I have been backing this idea for a long time.

    This is a pretty neat idea. No longer will you accidentally type a .com address and get porn. This will also make it easier to dispute a charge to your credit card if the site comes up .xxx and you haven't been to one in a while :p

    There would have to be some reason for existing porn sites to change domains. Otherwise, it won't really affect much. I wonder why they waited a decade to put this idea through...

    Actually neither of those things are true, because no porn company is going to be forced to give up their .com URLs. This entire thing is really just a shake down. Every company is basically being forced to register yet another TLD [or multiple others] in order to protect their "brand." It doesn't do anything except put money into the pockets of those who run ICM Registry.
