http://dragonage.bioware.com/da2/demo/ Info is there, I do believe it is tied to your EA account meaning if you didn't sign in to your EA account you don't get it.
If you go into your social.bioware.com profile and select Profile| Registered Game Content, you can see all of the DA:2 items that will be automatically downloaded when the game is installed and you are signed in.
Thanks Mortae. I hope to see you on my friend's list if you get this game! You haven't logged in in a while. : ( @ Secksy - I didn't know if it would pop up saying "Come release day, you will get X item for playing the demo." Which is EXACTLY what the video I watched on my XBL dashboard said.
Tomorrow is the day! Can't wait to crank up my headset volume to maximum, sit comfortably and play DA2 for 12+ hours straight without a care in the world.
Think I'll stick with 360 for the "achieves" and for the luxury of lounging on my couch with a controller instead of this stiff desk. Plus, wife wants to play it as well.
They've made some pretty decent improvements ever since the demo was released. In a word: OMFGITSSOAMAZING.
Where the hell are all the reviews? Like 1up.com's and IGN's. I always read those 2 site's reviews at least before a purchase. This is insane?! Normally they review a big game like this a week before it comes out.
Embargoes on the reviews. It's pretty shitty but it's become common place. I don't plan on buying the game myself [for at least about a year, GOTY edition FTW!] but for those who plan on it: NewEgg currently has it for $10 off plus free shipping.
Most reviews rate it lower than DA:O but based on the premise that the second game should have been much better than the first one, not considering it a "new game". Overall the comment "More of the same" comes back a lot, which in my case is the best thing you could say. Also of all the reviews I have read that mentioned the length of the game, I have seen between 60 and 75 hours. Pretty much like the first one, I assume you can finish it in 40 and less if you rush through it. Overall it's great news for me, I am running it at Medium for now since DX11 has so many issues and I am still waiting on my new GTX 460 card. And seriously, medium looks awesome so I don't see the point of exposing myself to all the DX11 issues for now.
I can confirm it's faster paced on the Xbox, and although the PC version has better graphics if you have a high-end card, I'm getting the Xbox version. I had much more fun playing it, where as for the the PC it was more like " UGH I'm clicking the ground!!! just cast the damn spell already!" Read rules 1 and 2 in my sig. If you want to discourage this sort of thing, follow the laws of gaming.
It's actually a very nifty device to keep people from buying used; you buy new, you get extra content. Secksy approves.
