Found these today, from late last year so they are pretty current and supposed to be confidential:

That means the chips will be on sale around June 7th. Production samples go out towards the end of this month, according to a guy who works for AMD. Cant remember which division he is in but the guy is kinda high up on the ladder.

Ill say the same thing I told Terand. These new parts will be better than what is out now. And with more cores too (see the 8-core in the first pic), all the way up to 16 cores supposedly! But the parts that are out now are still plenty fast, and upgrading from an old computer you will be happy with the performance of a new one built with these soon to be "obsolete" parts you can get now. So you can wait, and get something a bit better and have the latest and greatest, or you can build now and still have great performance but without bragging right.

If your budget is $1200+, then you should think about waiting 3-4 months for these parts. If it is less than that, just get a new one now. The new parts will always have a bit of a premium on pricing at first so if you dont have enough to afford the new stuff, waiting is pointless. If you do have enough to be able to afford the new parts when they are launched, then consider it.
