Sometimes aol, hotmail, yahoo etc block these forum registration emails... if you have registered and didn't get an email, check your junk folder... if it's not there try to whitelist (add it to your address book and any spam white lists that may exist) xooadmin@xoohq.com and then, try this link:
    http://xoohq.com/forums/register.php?a=ver

It should have a link at the bottom that lets you send a new email.

If that doen'st work, you can email Kyoji at kkyojii@gmail.com. Try to fix your email first though as it means you can't get things like forgotten passwords if you cant get email ;)

I'm pretty sure Stan (or Bob or whatever he wants to be called) ran into this problem as well. He never got a confirmation email, so he cannot post on the forums.

he messaged me on msn and I fixed him up, that is what brought my attention to the problem...

I also changed the email to come from admin@xoohq.com instead of my personal address as sometimes that can cause problems.

Yea mine got through fine too I'm surprised that a spam filter would try to stop XoO stuff
It must be just because it was automated

Everyone should have a Gmail account, there is no reason not to. Gmail is the king of all email. The Gmail spam filter has never...EVER caught a legit email of mine and put it in spam.

Moral of the story, get Gmail people.

ok anyone still in this group will now show up with the title "Users awaiting email confirmation"

If you have that title, you need to request a new confirmation email from here: http://xoohq.com/forums/register.php?a=ver and make sure to whitelist admin@xoohq.com

Each free email service will have a different way to do this... gmail for example, if you add admin@xoohq.com to your contact list, it should always allow mail to go through from that address. Not sure on yahoo or msn etc, but they should have it documented if you search thier help for "white list email" or something like that

please check the email I had listed, as it's XOOADMIN@XOOHQ.COM that you need to whitelist... I think I had it listed as admin@xoohq.com before which is not correct... not sure if that was changed, or my mistake there...

It seems there are still problems with Yahoo and AOL being unable to receive registration e-mails from our website. I had an AOL user add XOOADMIN@XOOHQ.COM to their contacts list and gave her the link for the website to send another registration e-mail, no go.

I know it's a problem with AOL and Yahoo but maybe we should add something to our registration page that if you register with these you most likely will not be able to receive e-mails from our website. Maybe we could recommend to use Gmail instead. She switched her e-mail to Gmail and it came immediately.

The last post by Jeb is outdated I believe as it is still 'admin@xoohq.com'. Tell them to add that to their address book so they can receive emails from XoO. I have AOL and I am able to receive emails with that listed in my address book. I also updated the contact information as Jeb doesn't peruse the forums as much anymore.
