LOL. Really though... I imagine it's going to do as well as the N-Gage. Or maybe the PSP.

  3. Its quite impressive technology to be able to adapt to ANY game you are playing. I dont know how well I would like it, but I still want to try it out sometime. I would imagine this would be incredibly expensive though.

neat enough i suppose. frankly theyd do better (both in terms of making money and getting people interested) if they released the 'highly sensitive touchscreen' and that fancy keyboard as separate, and full sized units. i wouldnt mind replacing my screen and keyboard with something like that (hell, if i could find a high colour quality, 1920x1080 supporting touchscreen, id have it already!), if it was big enough.

but if that thing can hold a candle to my desktop i will eat a waterbottle.

  5. Now you can play such dated games as Quake and World of Warcraft!

I am not going to lie its looks pretty awesome. Its a great idea but I don't think it will be practicle. It seems like the keyboard may be a bit more clunky than they want it to be and that would really screw with your gaming if the response time of the keys has a slow reaction time. If you are playing an MMO and if you need to switch from the hot key board, to the key board and back to the hot key board to tell someone they are fucking up a raid or something in a PvP setting that can really mess us your flow. Its a neat idea and I think its can be a good multi-media item but for gaming. Well, if you have a large surplus of cash and nothing better to do with it, why not.

  7. I lol'd.

More like, (dramatic voice) switching, to, the, hot key, board, so... you can, explain why, you wiped, the raid.

  8. That first guy in the video is so serious. Id have to try it but I doubt it will work very well with many of the games I play.

  9. Do you play Quake?

  10. Does it support opengl?

The only thing I like about it is the adaptive keyboard instead of having it on that damn thing they should make a full size keyboard for gaming designed from that. Then I would drool.

I prefer the Razer Venom lol

The new trend in tablets is the dual screen with 1 screen as the virtual keyboard. See Toshiba Libretto and Acer Iconia

All of these including the Switchblade are prototypes and not ready for mass production. They all run Win7 so technically they can play any games within specs.

I have a libretto and though I love it the keyboard needs some work. Razer is one of Fragworld's sponsors so I will have to ask our rep if we can test one. Screen is pretty small though so maybe mobile games are ok but TERA or Blops? I doubt it.

  13. I can't imagine tapping on the screen to shoot at people

  14. But how cool would it be to poke people to death? :)

ha! you die! ah ha! your dead! die!
    *poke* *poke* *poke*

  15. lol. That has to be one of best ways of looking at it :)

  16. Having clickers in your group is bad enough, having tappers would just scream fail.

the idea, though, is to have a context sensitive board rather than having to keybind G or the numrow. It would just change to whatever ability you have there on your bars. visual keybinding if you will.

  18. Sounds really cool, but not sure how it would hold up in the gaming world honestly. But still looks pretty bad ass.

  19. Right, but it doesn't change instantly, and I don't know what games you play but in the MMO's I'm doing I have 40+ keybinds having to go through several of them instantly.

  20. Quake is still my favorite multiplayer game, maybe because it was the best at the time, one of the best true multiplayer games for that genre.

Will probably, always, be my favorite.
