    Hi all,

I am looking for some advice/opinons. I am looking to get a "semi-pro" video/movie editing program. Not looking to spend more that £50/$80.

I have looked and tried googling reviews, but as always lots of conflicting results, and was after any personal/professional experience with anything.

    Thanks :)

I dont know if there is any decent software for that price. You are probably best off using Windows Movie Maker or whatever Apple has with their OS. From what I remember the Apple program is better. Windows Movie Maker hasnt been updated to modern times yet.

There may be a Sony Vegas version for $99 or Pinnacle but that's going to be the cheapest decent video editor. There are some free online editors as well like jaycut. I usually use Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas. Apple final cut is MAC OS only but that and ilife are both good products.

Final Cut is WAY out of his price range though. And I didnt know Vegas had a version that cheap either, guess Ive only seen the Pro version around.

If you can find a cheap Sony Vegas i'd say go for it. I use the Pro version of it personally.

I know some people are going to be like "blah blah theft blah blah".

Software prices are ridiculous and IMHO if you aren't using it for for business/professional use or you are trying to see if you even want to use this software, it should be free.

    Demo softwarz!

Although, it is good supporting small businesses or business if the price is right - but most of that software costs wayyyy too much.

thanks for the replies guys, sorry was not on earlier to update you guys, been hectic with work and sht, but this is now back to top(ish) of my priority list.

i tried a demo of adobe premiere...hated it and crashed all the time, nero 10 was ok but hopefully might give the sony vegas movie studio (non pro equivalent).

just as an FYI, this was for my local youth group (uk btw), where we had a whole bunch of video footage and was aiming to make something decent from it, rather than a movie maker cut/paste job (i.e. have titles, menus, animations etc)
