upgrade

    well i just upgraded the man cave ... from a 27" LCD tv from 7 years ago to a brand new 46" Sony LCD 1080p with 4 hdmi WHAT WHAT

    love this tv ... 599 in my store on sale from 749 for holiday then cuz im employee sony gave a 230 rebate !!! WHAAAAAAAAT!!!

    Wow, you got a steal there. I think..

    Any missing pixels? I really like Vizio's (and I have a Samsung right now as my little 32").

    How's the Sony?

    here it is ... i need to get myself a longer HDMI cable then 5 foot i had laying around i need like a 25 so i can run it up and around the wall and i had to move my entire set up across the room

    but here it is so far

    oh yeah and its brand new no missing nothing its unreal the picture on it thru HDMI ... MMORPG's going to be sick

    HDMI spec does not allow to run 25 feet without a booster in the line. Max run is 15' on normal signal strength and standard spec cables.

    I have a 35" run and I don't think my cables were anything special.

    OT, does cable length really matter? I wouldn't think it would..

    Yes, it's a simple matter of path loss, as the distance between the transmitter and receiver increases the greater the degradation.

    yea there is an issue going past 15' just like USB 2.0 cant without a booster as well

    I have the cables at work so im not worried about it ... 15' is enough i just want to run out around my room so i dont see the cable :)
