no....just too much anime does. (j/k) Im living proof to many cartoons can warp your sense of reality. I try to run into tunnels painted on walls and think I can hit someone with ten ton weight and they will get up and walk away..looking like an accordian.
well thats cartoons not anime, ill agree cartoons will screw you up with all the shoot myself in the face and it just turns black. but anime when you get shot you die!
I guess you didn't see the english adult cartoons..try "fritz the cat" "heavy Metal"..the list goes on I use the term cartoons loosely.....it does not imply animated as does anime. as most people use anime loosely,being a bastardized version of animated. its just semantics..cartoons and anime both refer to animated, animation. I doubt japanese use either term... and japanese got "anime" from america,france and germany.. mostly from america..after the war. they loved our Manga the GI's read from america...manga is what they called our comic books.
